kidsmoke
Congratulations on your nomination, Wilco! Well deserved.
calvino
I guess it's pretty cool to be in the same category with Jeff Beck (and Les Paul). http://www.grammy.com/nominees 15. Best Rock Album Rock 'N' Roll Party Honoring Les Paul Jeff Beck[ATCO] Wasting Light Foo Fighters[RCA Records/ Roswell Records] Come Around Sundown Kings Of Leon[RCA Records] I'm With You Red Hot Chili Peppers[WB] The Whole Love Wilco[dBpm Records/ Anti Records]
Magnetized
Whoa! They might really win this!
Sweet Papa Crimbo
Well...now that they have the nomination, will they play on the telecast? Should they? And if so...what song? If they perform, will Jeff do something with his hair?

JAK2112
More importantly, will he wear his Neil Young hat?
Sweet Papa Crimbo
More importantly, will he wear his Neil Young hat? After all these years, I'm surprised Sue hasn't laid down the law about that scruffy beard.
-seven
Congratulations to the guys. Well deserved. It would be great if they performed on the show. Wow! Wilco is the little engine that could.
lamradio
After all these years, I'm surprised Sue hasn't laid down the law about that scruffy beard. The wife digs my scruffy beard. The scruffier the better... Sue probably thinks it's dead sexeh...
LouieB
Congrats to Wilco. So many doubters.... LouieB
newbornghost
I'm guessing Foo Fighters, since they got the Album of the Year nomination, are the clear favorites. Still, this is very fulfilling as a Wilco fan. They got the category exactly right this year.
-seven
They got the category exactly right this year. Right?! Finally!
marino13
Unfortunately, there is a decent chance they don't even broadcast the Best Rock Album award. I think they have a chance, but Foo Fighters is the favorite. Arcade Fire didn't win Best Alternative Album last year and they won AOTY. I find it funny that AOTY has five mainstream artists this year after the backlash from the Arcade Fire win last year.

I'm very surprised Kanye didn't get an Album of the Year nomination, though. That album was phenomenal.
jff
If the Grammy Nomination Concert I saw on tv last night is any indication, KOL has this in the bag.
bedbug
Gusy, I know this is a Wilco forum, but I've got to say I've really got my hat in the ring for the Chili Peppers. They've been around a lot longer than Wilco, during which time they've given us such hits as "Under a Bridge," as well as ... other songs! I'm going on record as saying this is the year of the Chilis. Team Keidis!
Turnips
I'm going on record as saying this is the year of the Chilis. if by "this year" you mean 1991 then I'm with you!
choo-choo-charlie
"Under the Bridge"
howardox
That's great news! Made my day. Very happy for the band and the recognition they're getting for their deserved album and body of work.
Bula Matari
Is this category even included in the broadcast?
Cam Jones
I defiantly think the Grammy's are a crock... But at the same time it is really cool to see Bon Iver and Wilco get recognized.
Wilco Worshipper
I like being the local Wilco rep. Ditto.
