smells like flowers
A few months after W(TA) came out, I was driving and I saw one! An old Nova, painted in primer black (not shiny like this one). That was kind of cool. It's definitely one I don't need to hear live every time, though.
sonicshoulder
Sometimes I think Bull Black Nova is a setlist killer. Dont really enjoy that one so much. Â Agee with the first part 100%. I have used it as my pee break. I do like the song but would gladly trade the concert version for almost any 2 other songs live.
IRememberDBoon
I love 99.9 percent of every note Wilco plays but i definitely saw it slow this show down. SarahC
I love this song live. Â I was spazzing out when they played it in Atlanta this year. Â Purposefully, for about 3 weeks at school in the fall of 09 I would park next to a Nova every day. It was white though.
bleedorange
It's definitely one that they need to retire. Very tired of it.

Cam Jones
This is sort of a bathroom song, that and the solo section of Handshake Drugs. I've seen them sooooo many times. But I do know that if I wrote these songs... I'd want to play them every night hahah.
calvino
I do enjoy Tweedy's solo versions more so than with the full band - never was a huge fan of the song.
Sweet Papa Crimbo
The incessant guitar line without release always leads me to issue a 'wow' afterwards. It is an emotional marker at the beginning of shows. When it's followed by a quieter song, it offers a really stark example of the emotional peaks and valleys in the show. theashtraysays
I have only heard it a couple times live, but I remember that the first time I heard it, I said to the guy next to me "that one's a keeper!" Â I like it on the record, and I still like it even more live. definitely not on my pee break list or set dropper list (which I do have, btw).

"And now next up is Olive Drab Green Nova!" I do enjoy Tweedy's solo versions more so than with the full band - never was a huge fan of the song. Still waiting on hearing the solo BBN. Hear it's awesome. The incessant guitar line without release always leads me to issue a 'wow' afterwards. It is an emotional marker at the beginning of shows. He talks about this very idea.
calvino
Still waiting on hearing the solo BBN. Hear it's awesome. Only caught it once at the 7/8/11 Fish Creek, WI show. I don't think a recording of the show has ever surfaced, yet - which is a shame.

May be the best ever.
Pennyghael
Not a big fan of BBN but don't feel the need to flee the place when it starts. OSM has to be the opener though or it'll just become the track you use for a p*ss / drink break.  --Kieron

worldrecordplayer
Didn't like the song too much on the album. But I think it comes alive and is a killer tune in the live setting. Not to say I want to hear it at every show, but still think it's a balls to the walls rocker live.

The venue becomes an intimate coffee house when OTM opens...The opening sequence of OSM, Poor Places, Art of Almost and I Might can be devastating emotionally... Pennyghael
The recent show in Munich went one better by relegating I Might to 5th and having IATTBYH at 4th in the set. I was almost reduced to tears. The best show I saw during the european tour.
IRememberDBoon
the only thing that makes me want to shut up is that Jeff seems to love the song. that means something to me
Theremin
It's the only song from W(TA) that actually has its place on a Wilco setlist.
