For the record, I cannot imagine this happening...and if I did, I'd go, of course, but seeing one gig would be fine. I'd like to see them bury the hatchet & do a show or something, but a tour?!? I highly doubt this. And I'm way more excited about what Wilco is doing. I dug Uncle Tupelo, but I absolutely nuts for Wilco!!

yeah.,..file this under delusional daydream scenario.

tweedy's got it good w/ Wilco, and Farrar seems very content w/ his thing too. can't imagine a UT tour at all. The Smiths might be more likely.

All my daydreams are disasters

Fixed it for you.

Well, i absolutely agree that a reunion is highly unlikely, but I couldn't help noticing that Jay Farrar will be playing at Newport two nights after Wilco. It would be an unbelievable hoot if he were to make some kind of a guest appearance, maybe during an encore set.

Don't know when...but I have the inside scoop from a major t-shirt screenprinter that they just got in a huge Uncle Tupelo t-shirt order that points to a tour later this year. Sweetness!

they sell those things on a bunch of sites but that dont mean no tour, but as for me i would pay 1000 dollars easily and i aint joking

im old enough to have seen them easily but never did. big regret.

They've played the same festival before (don't remember which one).

They are well beyond wanting or needing to have a reunion.

Now I, for one, would be much more excited about a Smiths reunion. But that ain't gonna happen either.

I don't like reunions.

The motives are usually about money and almost always disappointing, uninspired and sometimes embarrassing.

It should only happen if Jeff Tweedy and Jay Farrar simply cover 'Reunion', with stoic, stone-faced Jay taking Vince Clarke's place on keyboards and Jeff singing and prancing about ala Andy Bell while wearing a tutu.

Perhaps it signals the release of a live album of earlier performances (I heard that mentioned before) or perhaps a box set with the T-shirt thrown in as part of the package.

And Legacy Editions of their catalog.

I know VC has become kind of a dull place, but this is ridiculous. I think both guys are pretty busy.

Several years ago I talked to someone who was "sure" they were going to play in St. Louis. Didn't happen then and even less likely to happen now.

Per a Jeff story from a few Vic benefit shows ago, they were vacationing next to each other by chance. If a spark did not strike up then, it is doubtful one would now.

I heard Jeff and a Tupac like Jay Bennett hologram are planning something. Too soon?

Wakarusa 2005. Wilco headlined the main stage on Saturday evening. Son Volt was a spare on Friday . No public evidence of reconciliation that weekend between Jeff and Jay.
