SarahC
I missed it, but...pretty sure I'll catch it live Thursday.Where is all the YHF representation? Must be coming toward the end. What if they played the whole thing in it's entirety?
Mr. Heartbreak
That would be totally weird. I wouldn't mind hearing Reservations for a change. Been a while.
Beltmann
Well, everyone has to have a pee break song. This will be mine. I can usually time it to be back in the room when Nels goes off. LOL Funny... some of us were saying the same thing on Facebook. I've never warmed to "Impossible Germany," despite my deep admiration for its nuance and technique. "Laminated Cat" is probably top five for me. I remember acquiring one of the DVD Project discs about 10 years ago, and just watching this song over and over and over... Mr. Heartbreak
Yeah, it's one of my all time favorites too. I just requested it for the Americanarama show.

Mr. Heartbreak
stuffing the ballot box. Nah, one extra vote ain't all that much.I suspect it's a lot easier to get Standing O or Laminated Cat played than to get, say, Blasting Fonda or We've Been Had or whatnot. Yep. My wife suggested we go as an anniversary gift to ourselves. In related news, my wife is awesome.Okay, at least two people have now requested Laminated Cat for that show. Lol
Beltmann
"Blasting Fonda" would be somethin'. I remember going to a Tweedy solo show once about 10 years ago, and had three or four chestnuts in the back of my mind as wishful thinking. He played all of 'em, including "Fonda." (I don't remember the others, except for "Dash 7.")

paulcalypse
Foxygen was really wild and entertaining. Can anyone elaborate on what happened (maybe at the end of their set I missed?)?

sumodie
Foxygen was indeed wild! Very curious if they did get kicked outta Solid Sound as Tweedy mentioned (in jest...?) Foxygen's lead singer climbed up one of the steel beams on stage right, whereupon this security rushed up and pulled him down and proceeded to shove him down onto the stage While the lead singer may have been a little reckless, there was no call for the security dude to be such an asshole. So was Tweedy joking or was Foxygen really asked to leave the festi? (Loved Foxygen's set btw. Crazy fun)
sumodie
From twitter:Around 830pm saw slew of police outside fest talking to Foxygen lead singer, then someone else left in cop car @robertloerzel: @AndyHannon Anyone else able to confirm what happened:So #foxygen apparently got loaded & brawled saw the tambourine dude escorted out of #solidsound2013 totally wasted couldn't even walk

Later when his mic stand was malfunctioning, he got absolutely no help from the crew. Maybe they took his jabs personally :/
Hixter
That synth sound has always been there, including on the studio version. It was just a lot louder on this radio broadcast. Maybe it's louder over the PA at the show, maybe not.It was VERY loud at the show.
