PopTodd
To me a "10" album is where every song is not only essential, but the sequencing is also perfect, as well. Where I am compelled to listen to the album from beginning to end, with no interruptions. So, it's not necessarily my "best of all time" list, but is a category unto itself. Of course while most of these do overlap with my all-time favorites, there are several that don't quite make it into the upper echelons (top 20). That said, I agree with:Belle and Sebastian - If You're Feeling Sinister Here are the rest of those that I can think of offhand: Beach Boys - Pet SoundsNeutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the SeaWire - Pink FlagNilsson - Nilsson SchmilssonToots & The Maytals - Funky Kingston© - ©© - Love StoryThe Beatles - RevolverGuided By Voices - Alien LanesThe Kinks - Something ElseJohn Cale - Paris, 1919The Harder They Come (OST)Brian Eno - Another Green World

remphish1
The Joshua Tree is more perfect 10 than Achtung Baby. Sorry.I respect your opinion however you may laugh but I like Pop (Could have to do with this being the first time I saw U2 live) better then Joshua Tree..Joshua Tree is however a landmark, brilliant album! bleedorange
Nice to see Odelay make your list. I'll need to think about it a little more but I would definitely have: Slobberbone - Everything You Thought was Right was Wrong Today
Sir Stewart
The Joshua Tree is more perfect 10 than Achtung Baby. Sorry. Be honest - Joshua Tree peters out a little at the end. Both Exit and Mothers of the Disappeared are worthy tunes, but more often than not, I tune out somewhat after One Tree Hill.

Both Exit and Mothers of the Disappeared are worthy tunes, but more often than not, I tune out somewhat after One Tree Hill. I'll be honest: I like the album all the way through. I guess that's what I think of when I think of "10" albums- nothing I would skip.
jff
Most of the albums I think are perfect have segments that probably would not stand on their own apart from the album. For example, David Bowie's Hunky Dory. There is a fair amount of experimentalism and fiddling around on the record on the lead-ins to a track or two that I enjoy as part of the album. It gives it a mysterious aura, for lack of a better phrase, but on their own these segments would probably sound like drivel.

These are just perfect: Bob Dylan - Highway 61 RevisitedMiles Davis - Kind of BlueI couldn't think of any, until you listed those. However, even Highway 61 would be improved without From A Buick 6. moxiebean
Stone Roses - S/TXTC - SkylarkingRadiohead - AmnesiacClash - Sandinista! - I know a lot of folks would pick London Calling (I would, too, if they'd left The Card Cheat off), but I love every drug-fuelled self-indulgent minute of S!, even the kiddie versions & weird dub stuff on side 6. I wouldn't change a note.

Oil Can Boyd
blood on the tracksThis is the first one I thought of because it may be my favorite album of all time but if I'm being completely honest I'll say that it would be a better album if Lily Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts was three minutes long instead of nine.
