pathfire
Apologies if someone already started a post on this. Saw this from their music booker. Thrilled to have @Wilco performing two vintage rarities and an acoustic version of a classic on @FallonTonight. instagram.com/p/uqaU70ihBF/ Guessing this means one performance on air and two additional ones online? Should be great.

Cold as Gasoline
2 beautiful, rare tunes. So happy with these selections. What's the third, do we think?
Magnetized
Great selections! As for the acoustic version of a classic, gotta be California Stars, don't you think?
linclink
Excited to find out what the third one was!!!! Just got in... Onwards to Port Chester X3!!!
Albert Tatlock
From I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/I'm_Sorry_I_Haven't_a_Clue The expert's expert was, of course, Lionel Blair. Who could ever forget opposing team captain, Una Stubbs, sitting open-mouthed as he tried to pull off Twelve Angry Men in under two minutes?
lost highway
I had the weirdest dream that Wilco played "Magazine Called Sunset" on national TV and then Jeff played charades with Ewan McGregor and Charles Barkley. But seriously, if someone told you this would happen in 2003 would you believe them? Also, I like what Nels brings to these tunes. I loved the crooked smile he got while playing the retarded lead to Magazine.
Magnetized
I would love it if someone more tech-savvy than I could make up a Vine or an animated gif of Jeff's cat impression. That was adorable!
Be-Ah
I would love it if someone more tech-savvy than I could make up a Vine or an animated gif of Jeff's cat impression. That was adorable! Who knew Jeff was so good at charades?!!!
HungryHippo
When Fallon told Charles Barkley that it was four words and Barkely replied, "Karate Kid!" I laughed for a while. Jeff's 'Cat in the Hat' was classic, too. I really love their performance of Cars Can't Escape. Never would of guessed in a million years that those 2 songs would be recorded for prime-time TV. I bet the third song was Kicking Television, haha.
theashtraysays
Web exclusive: Cars Can't Escape! http://www.nbc.com/the-tonight-show/segments/14606Nice. Mikael got quite a haircut....
SarahC
I never ever thought I would see the singer in my favorite band play charades with Obi-Wan Kenobi. Very cool. And hysterical. Loved both performances.

EitherWay
Is there any chance anyone knows how to rip the audio from the Tonight Show website? I've always loved Cars Can't Escape, but I'mm so mesmerized by this live version that I want it on repeat everywhere I go.

Col. Hapablap
And Herbie Hancock sat in with the Roots. DId anybody notice Nels doing a little bow at the end of the show when Jimmy mentioned Hancock's name? I wonder if they met up before the show? I'm not surprised if Herbie is one of Nels's heroes.
