summerdai
I need a Wilco fix. Anybody think there will be more dates announced for later in the year? Preferably in East Canada or North East US for me!
shawnsolo73
I'm positive the rest of the US will get dates. Of course I have nothing to back up my claims except I seem to get to see them in my area once every year or two...
u2roolz
The Wilco Facebook post announcing the recently added St. Louis & MN show in November made a point to state that they won't be touring much in 2018. "Taking most of or all of the year off".
Sun Caught Fire
Yikes, only 3 more shows this year and taking most if not all of 2018 off. May have to switch my Springsteen on Broadway on 11/16 for a different date to make St. Paul. Hope Jeff tours the states.
worldrecordplayer
Damn, taking most if not all of 2018 off? I already am jonesing for a Wilco show (last seen at Solid Sound), the thought of having to wait until 2019 is kind of a major bummer!
jw harding
Wilco have been on a hiatus from San Diego shows since January 2012, so 2018 will be pretty much like any other year. Super sad.
downisthenewup
Would be super tempted to catch one of the 3 new gigs if they fell on weekend dates. This news is a bummer for sure. Hopefully Jeff does a solo tour stateside.
TCP
Damn, I was really hoping for a Western Canada spring 2018 tour, but the guys deserve a well earned break. Though I guess this leaves an opening for a Loose Fur 2018 reunion
The Inside of Outside
Not a crisis, but an opportunity. Makes 2018 a year of possibilities. Wonder what each band member will do? Could be a good year to catch the Autumn Defense, a Tweedy show or two, or my new favorite, Quindar.
Albert Tatlock
Bbop, it's OK - you CAN get through this.
50footqueenie
Bbop, it's OK - you CAN get through this.  He might - but I doubt I will FFS!
Albert Tatlock
^^^^ Feb has put a shine on 2018 that this news has not yet dented. That second TWEEDY album that's in the can might see the light of day with associated touring. Plus JT needs to get his arse in gear and release his book.
shawnsolo73
I've never seen a Jeff Tweedy solo show. Got to see him perform a few songs when he presented American Movie in Durham a couple of years ago but that was it. I'd love to see a full show...Maybe now I will. Magnetized
^^^^ Feb has put a shine on 2018 that this news has not yet dented. That second TWEEDY album that's in the can might see the light of day with associated touring. Plus JT needs to get his arse in gear and release his book. That's exactly what I'm trying to focus on (through tears). This seems to open up the possibility of a second TWEEDY album, a TWEEDY tour, a Jeff solo tour, getting that memoir out, etc. I'm trying to be brave and optimistic. It also validated my plans to add Atlanta to my already-scheduled Asheville show. Got to stock up on the Wilco memories to get me through a Wilcoless 2018. Waaahh!
bböp
He might - but I doubt I will FFS!I've been stockpiling shows for years in the event of just this sort of thing. So I should be good...  FFS!
dagwave
I'm starting to come to the accept that my visions of a 2018 central Pennsylvania early spring residency (CPESR - say it spessarerrrr) just might be dashed.
dagwave
Success on St. Paul pre-sale!!!
worldrecordplayer
Any suggestions for a nice hotel in walking distance to the Palace in St. Paul?
dagwave
I was looking until deciding to go Airbnb but the St. Paul hotel looks pretty sweet and is a couple of blocks from the theater. Was around $140 a night if I recall.

MountainGerbil
Anyone know why the second St. Paul show is sold out? And was sold out yesterday for the artist presale? Â Â Oops, nevermind. It's up.
dagwave
3rd St Paul show added
Analogman
Wasn't there a time not too long ago when they also took some extended time off? I can't recall when that was. I also remember a time when they mostly toured in the Spring and Summer. That is going way back probably.
nalafej
Yes- they didn't gig from Oct of '13 until Sept '14.
spankadelphia
Just got a GA pit ticket for St. Louis off StubHub for a very reasonable price.
