  1. If there is one (and I think there will be one) - I can see Bumgarner wanting to start Game 7 - not sure if Bochy will allow it, though. Was Jack Morris the last one to start in three World Series games?
  2. Listened to the 1st set of the Fresno 7.19.74 show last night --- good set. Looking forward to the 2nd set. It's been on my hard drive for a awhile, but I don't remember listening to the show before.
  3. I haven't been listening to Cream for while, but over the last month (prior to Bruce's passing) - I have been listening to them quite a bit. Mostly to the below boot. They definitely jammed and Bruce was a hell of a player.
  4. Minkin was on the XM Tales 'show last weekend - sounds like it should be a great book. Talked about how the Dead road crew, who gave him a hard time back in the day at times, are happy that the pictures actual survived and our coming out in a book--- I guess Steve Parish wrote a forward or something for the book.
  5. Bumgarner pitched a hell of of game --- gut check for KC to see how they rebound after their first lost in the playoffs. I always have been a fan of Peavy -- hopefully he goes deep into the game and gets a no decision, with KC coming out on top.
  6. Definitely will try ---- read that Hyde Park Art Center had day listening party earlier this year - but I didn't make it back it up there for the party (I use to live in Hyde Park).
  7. That's the collection I thought of when you posted --- used to run into Malcachi all the time at shows. Sad story.
  8. Was he cranky---I do enjoy listening to him, but he sure can be a dick. One of these days I am going to catch a jazz show at the Symphony Center.
  9. Happen to catch a Orchestra Baobab show at the Hot House back in 2002 or 2003 - that was fun show.
  10. Ecstasy is my favorite Lou Reed release - so I guess it's essential. Great tour behind that record, too.
  11. Night 1 and 5 for me. Still on the fence for Night 3.
  12. I kinda look at the Hall like Keith Richards looks at writing music. Maybe one day they will change the name of the place.
  13. Still need the Ginger Baker documentary that came out somewhat recently.
  14. Glad it was good show --- already returned the ticket last week -- I'll catch him next year, hopefully with Cook. Knows he is taper friendly and sells his soundboard in flac, so I will probably snag/purchase tonight's performance if and when it's available .
  15. I had a ticket to see the show, but once Elizabeth Cook canceled, I decided to get a refund. Would be interested to know who replaced Cook. Was really looking forward to the gig - actually the ticket was for tomorrow's gig at the Old Town, not tonight's at Space. Been in a bad rut lately due to cancelations - Ratdog last month, now Cook this month. Have a ticket to see Dylan in November and my figures are crossed.
  16. We got all the way through re-watching it (it was my wife's first time through) - but it definitely did peter out in the end --- I must have stopped watching it , back in the day - because I didn't remember the last half of the 2nd season at all. I never did see the movie - at least I don't think I ever did.
  17. As far as I understand, Tweedy (solo) and Wilco have been playing WTA songs, but not releasing the tunes on their Roadcase releases.
  18. Watched it last night up to Passenger Side - great performance - nice to have this artifact from this year of touring, since I didn't get a chance to see them this time around. Nicely shot (for the most part), too.
  19. My wife and I just entered the Apple family 4 days ago with a purchase of a MacBook Pro - with all the talk, I was expecting the new U2 record to be playing when we turned it on - but nothing. (I haven't gotten around to mess with the music side of things, yet) It is a nice machine.
  20. Nope - never knew Hiatt had a daughter in the music racket - need to check it out..
