Ha! - I came here to post the above (crap - damn page break) ---- If Graham Archive's put it out - why would it be taken down? I would think they own the rights, so they can do what they want.
-
So how was the Phil show --- only heard bits on the the ustream, before Nels joined the band.
-
Agree - I saw Kimock with his solo band about 12-13 years ago and it was pretty boring. I thought he sounded great with the last Ratdog show I saw, though --- definitely does not do any 'ripping' solos, but that's fine by me. Really enjoy the two bass attack (once I found Rob W. in the mix) I am bit disappointed the Rich is playing a far northwest suburb of Chicago, when he passes through the area, and not it the city, proper.
-
This most recent incarnation of Ratdog played well this past tour --- they actually had a little punch.
-
I agree with the above, not sure why people have to give them grief --- if you don't like it or care for them, just don't go to the shows (like I don't). I think those words should be attributed to Rob Barraco --- I don't think Eaton was part of the interview - though in typical Jamband writing style, it's hard to figure out -- but Rob talks about playing with Phil. Must be a bit tough to have three dudes in one band name Rob.....

I used to get them with the two corn tortillas, but at times they didn't hold up too well - they hold up much better with the flour on the bottom.
-
You Texans don't even put beans in chili - how can we take you seriously? Seriously! Of course I am the weirdo who eats a guacamole taco pretty much 3 - 4 times a week for lunch - one flour shell on the outside, a corn shell in the inside, with freshly made guacamole, lettuce, cilantro, sprinkle of cheese, tomato, fresh pico de gallo, carrots - that were soaked with jalapenos, onions and garlic - and sometimes a squeeze of lime.
-
I thought it was ok (Rich's) - probably will get it --- I don't think it sounds much different then his last solo effort. Still need to pick up CRB's latest.

Thanks on the info.

I would think from a finance perspective, Page would have the most to gain, so it would make sense for him to go out an shill the sets.
-
I am guessing Fallon doesn't keep his studio as cold as Letterman -- the sets look good.

Bought and made an excellent ham for our first Easter feast that my wife and I hosted at Paulina's one year. I think we used Alton Brown's Bourbon Gingersnap Crusted Ham recipe. Heading down to Southern IL to visit in-laws -- something different...

I only caught DSO once and that was long time ago (see the below - my wife and friend didn't even stay for the 2nd set, it was a little weird and it was still somewhat close to 95, so it made things even weirder for us -- some of the crowd was really into the show, which was great from those, but we didn't think the actual music being played that night warranted it) I remember hearing a lot about them when they started playing in Chicago in the late 90s but never paid much attention to their scene much --- I had friends who went to Martyr's (they played there every week or so when they start

Have you seen any of Phil's webcasts? How do they sound/visually - technical-wise)?
-
Heartbreak forgot to make a some reference regarding some type of bird flying in the background while he doing the Seaside chat.... I happy with latest Pick release - but I never minded the Road Trip series where he picked and chose the best stuff from a show/run.

Looks like there will be a roped off section for the premium seats - I assuming the lottery tickets are considered premium, though I could be wrong.

Read Snider's piece --- definitely a good one. Searching for some Stones music on the interwebs, I came across The Rolling Stones Radio hour --- looking over the show logs, some of it looks pretty cool. http://www.prx.org/series/5107-rolling-stones-radio-hour Listening to a show on the New Barbarians, now. http://www.prx.org/pieces/116156-rolling-stones-radio-hour-barbarians

Speaking of bootlegs, I am waiting on the below to get in from my library system - heard good things about it.
-
I heard on the Elizabeth Cook XM show that Snider has a book out too ---- have you read it Lammy? She recited at story of him meeting a fellow songwriter who wrote a song called Beer Run, too - it was a pretty funny account. (Need to the above link when I get home)
-
I listen to some of the soundboard of this show on the archive and in this case I prefer the audience recording.
-
Listening to the below this morning --- great audience recording (Grateful Dead Live at Edmundson Pavilion - University of Washington on 1974-05-21). Billy sounds great in this mix -- really can hear his cymbal work. I am not sure if I have this at home (I am listening to the show via crappy work computer speakers) - probably sounds even better blasting on through a stereo system. https://archive.org/details/gd1974-05-21.sonyecm18n.lee.miller.98822.sbeok.flac16

A friend just bought a ticket for me to see Weir w/ Ratdog and Chris Robinson Brotherhood when they play down in St. Louis at the end of August --- they are playing at the The Fabulous Fox Theater - always wanted to catch a show there - in the shows that I heard, the Grateful Dead played some great shows there in the early 70s. Plus it will be nice to finally see CRB.
-
That's looks pretty cool and I didn't know that they were doing the same with their I.R.S. stuff (and I am all for the digital only release method)
-
Haim at the Riv. - of all groups --- don't think I ever went to a show like this, before - the wife is smitten, so off we will go.
