  1. On his latest show he talks about how him and Jagger wrote "No Use In Crying" while they were in Linda Ronstadt's cupboard in Malibu. Being a Stones geek, I enjoy these types of stories. It seems that Wood is one of most affable rock stars - it seems he played or partied with everyone. I haven't gotten around to read his auto-bio, yet.
  2. Ronnie Wood Radio Show Only listen to a bits and pieces of the show, but they are pretty decent.
  3. Finished The 42nd Parallel and now into 1919. Great stuff. The book has been on my shelf for awhile, glad I finally started to read it. The whole concept works well.
  4. That's great news - I finally gotten around and ordered the disc this morning.
  5. I'm curious to know what site you upped the show at? Did you tape it?
  6. It's a Grateful Dead thing, of course people are complaining (this is not directed at Vacant Horizon). I haven't seen them, but I heard bit's and pieces of shows, they sounded okay; don't think I would spend money on seeing them. Actually reviews have been more favorable than not on most on the boards.
  7. Looks like a good set list. For an encore, they should have done Blues for Allah and dedicate that to Egypt. Of course "blues" may not be apt.
  8. Whipping Post definitely sounded different in the show I heard - it wasn't bad, though. I think that song lends itself to some rearranging every once in a while. I also don't have any of his solo stuff. Friends of mine always catch his solo band shows over years when he comes to Chicago, I haven't though.
  9. It's a pretty decent show, the interviewer (though kinda hot) is not the best. I didn't catch the episode with Allman. I did listen to one of Greg's solo shows a few weeks back (on XM) - it sounded pretty damn good, esp. the horns.
  10. I read that Neil is inducting Tom Waits into the R&R Hall of Fame. Here is a link from Paste
  11. Any word on who is in the band? All the CA club shows kinda reminds me of JGB's club shows of the 70's - at least I think Jerry used to do a number of them.
  12. Below is from the LA Times. Maybe Jagger and Dylan will also perform with Eminem. Bob Dylan to perform at the Grammy ceremony alongside Mumford & Sons and the Avett Bros.
  13. I can't imagine them doing the above.
  14. Did Henneman ever play on stage as a member of Wilco or did he leave after the recording of AM?
  15. Good points. Silencers in the heating system would help that, though. Nothing worse than hearing the HVAC system (well maybe talkers), while one is trying to listen to music, yet alone recording music.
  16. I think the loft still has heating issues. I know a heating guy(me) who might be able to make it more comfortable... Below is a great shot, nice shot of all the equipment, including the camera bag, in the shot.
  17. I was on the fence about buying it. I was able to reserve one and got a confirmation to purchase a "personalized" set. They gave me 2 weeks to decide and on the 13th day, I ordered it. It's definitely a lot of dough, though - I figured I would be kicking myself once they release it in September, if I didn't get it. Hopefully Rhino/Dead.net does a great job on the set. Of course, if they do a poor job on this set, they will be shooting themselves in the foot with regards to future "tour" releases. (I had them put my kid's initials on it.)
  18. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6j7huh5Egew I was never much a fan, but my wife is, so their music plays around the house a bit. But I thought the above video was pretty cool. May they R.I.P.
