  1. U of C students are not the most sociable people and also I don't think one could blame Sue for wanting to get out of Madison, that night. For the most part, I don't think I encountered many problems at Wilco shows; never been to a DMB show.
  2. The wife and I watched this a few nights ago, enjoyed it, too. Good flick - Bill Murray's character was great.
  3. There was usually a garbage can right by the sound board.
  4. The below is a pretty cool story.
  5. I saw them on that tour, too. Pretty decent show, from what I remember. The shed I saw them at was pretty empty, though it was at the horrible Tinley Park World Music Theater, so I do not blame Yes, particularly.
  6. Speaking of over-dubbing video footage with audio footage, I recently found out the 1971 Massey Hall DVD footage was from a different show. I don't remember hearing about this when it came out, though I am sure it was discussed. Still enjoy the dvd/cd, though.
  7. With all the discussions of the crowds at the latest Tweedy shows, that U of C show was, by far, the quietest Tweedy show I've been to. I think the audience source at the Owl site was taped by my friend. We had perfect seats for taping.
  8. Snow greets Sox, Guillen: 'Very stupid to play in Cleveland' (Trib. Link) I thought the NBA line was a bit funny. The Yankee/Tiger game looks pretty brutal, too.
  9. I didn't know it was theirs until I read your post.
  10. Really like the Tomorrow Blues tune.
  11. Yeah, I am downloading it this a.m. Looking forward to listening to it.
  12. Flip flop your World Series prediction and you would have mine.
  13. YouTube. Pretty good/fun version. Almost a gospel feel towards the end. Weir sounded great.
  14. I guess this thread is good as any for the below info. Nice line-up. These shows are typically fun. I'm glad the city didn't cut this.
  15. Thanks for the link. I haven't heard about this, it sounds like an interesting idea. I wonder if it going to be subscription type thing? It appears that Weir wiped out on his bike again (scrape on his elbow). It's a bit funny that Journey already played/rehearsed there.
  16. I didn't know that, though I am not too familiar with 75-81 era of the Allman Brothers Band. I don't think I ever heard any record or show they put out during that period.
  17. One would think they would or at least they always have in the past (I think).
  18. Just read that Jambase interview, Trucks sure did get slammed in the comments. I guess I don't see the point either, bringing Dickey up again. He's been out of the band for a pretty long time.
  19. Bob Lefsetz bugs me sometimes, but here is a pretty decent blog post of his regarding the Fillmore album and a recent Beacon show. Hopefully the Allman Brothers Band comes through Chicago this year. Haven't seen them in a couple of years. I haven't been following the setlists for the Beacon Run. Just noticed the setlist for the 17th. Looks like fun show.
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_P-v1BVQn8 Never heard it before - not heinous, I guess.
  21. To me Bear's voice sounds a bit like Garcia's. Also I guess The Grateful Dead Movie will be played in theaters throughout the U.S. on April 20th. Details at Dead.net. Never saw it in the theaters. Last year I was able to catch the Stones Ladies and Gentlemen in a theater, now the Grateful Dead movie. Also which other CD's was Bear involved in, other than the Dead? I swore I had one or two but I can't find them. I thought it was the recent Moby Grape live release, but his name does appear on the liner notes. Bear's Album Page Besides the Dead stuff, I don't have any of the others. I gue
  22. Google LosslessBob. It should help you find some shows.
