The above came out somewhat recently - just listened to it again this morning - great stuff. I think all the legal issues are done - I could be wrong though.
-
If it was taped, it will appear the In a future age forum, (a forum here on the Via Chicago board.)
-
On another board there is is a discussion of their 85 Live Aid performance, also someone uploaded it on Dime today/yesterday - what a train wreck. Granted they hadn't played together since Bonham's death. I never even gotten around to listen to or download their 2007 O2 Arena show, but I am glad there are a crap load of older bootlegs out there.

k.d. Lang does it justice.

Report: Michigan Fires Head Football Coach Rich Rodriguez
-
I haven't read it - heard great things about it and I think his columns are great - he has been a pretty consistent critic of the big business of NCAA football. He wrote a series of columns regarding brain injuries to football players this past year, that were also great. Regarding the linked story, I guess I never realized that coach's receive all the bonus's for beating certain teams - $50,000 for beating Navy is kinda of out there and if the coach takes his team out for a steak dinner after he wins and he gets his bonus, the players would get suspended.

Chicago Sun-Times' Rick Telander had a good article regarding the Ohio State/NCAA football "joke" in today's paper. The hypocrisy is pretty incredible. College football all about the money

Man on Wire is a great documentary. What a crazy obsession.

XM is currently playing the 12/31/69 - beginning of the 2nd set, Garica said "well, looks like the '70s are gonna be weird." I don't think I have ever listened to this show before, the first set was great. I taped the 90 and 91 NYE's shows off of WXRT. The 12/31/90 show has always been a favorite of mine.

I thought Up was great, too. They kinda of lost me after that, but I still look forward to their releases. The Live at the Olympia is a great set, also.
-
I thought it looked good, too. Looking forward to it as I am with all their releases.

Too cold and snowy.

Should be good for us here in Chicago. I have yet to make it to a show that he was part of, but I do see his name pop up a lot.

I was a big fan of Unleashed in the East when I was a kid, too. Sin after Sin is a good one. Wasn't a big fan of British Steel or anything thereafter.
-
That's all I found so far, too.

The Yer Blues from the 14th is excellent.
-
That's cool Parker played with him. Has he played with him before?
-
Thanks - my wife's birthday is the 21st, put this in her Kindle account today - she was happy to see it there.

I was never a big fan of that Stones songs. I always blamed Lennon/McCartney though.
-
Good tune - my Les Paul looks exactly like the one in the video, too.

Must admit, I don't think I ever heard the Beatles version. The Crowes version was fun. Definitely had the early 60's vibe and the screaming was a nice touch. Also it's nice that they didn't turn it into a 6 minute song.
-
It's not the Stones (written by the Lennon/McCartney) cover?

The Dec. 14th just popped up on bt.etree - Looking forward to hear the I Wanna Be Your Man. The Black Crowes - December 14, 2010 - San Francisco, California - The Fillmore
