Found this by the way of the BC Tour Blog - Steve's tweets from the Snowmass Festival. Guess he liked watching Wilco.

Do you care about whats on the setlist when you go to concerts?
calvino replied to remphish1's topic in Someone Else's Song
It was the 99 Park West, Chicago shows. Half the songs of each show were acoustic. Early show (bobdates) Late Show (boddates) That early show in Atlantic City set does look good, though. Haven't heard it. -

I have seen Dylan where he played two shows in one night - one show had LARS, the other AATW. So in essence I saw a show when he didn't play one of them, but of course I got both in one night. I only care if a band plays well; they can play what ever they want. -
2010 MLB - Playoffs and hot stove!

Good luck in the playoffs. -
Croweology may be a good start. It has the current lineup doing their old catalog, acoustically. For a double cd, it's rather cheap, too.

Tonight (and tonight only!!!!!) this movie is going to be in the theaters. Here is a link to the participating theaters. I am looking forward to it, since I only watched various snippets of it on YouTube. Should be great in a theatre. -

Breaking news: Lou Reed Snubs Susan Boyle!
calvino replied to Magnetized's topic in Someone Else's Song
I do believe that is Lou singing in that commercial, right? So I don't see the correlation of having his song in a commercial and Susan Boyle singing it on a TV show. I don't think Lou particular appreciates Boyle's singing/performance of the song, thus he doesn't want her to perform it on the air. Is it a dickish thing to do, sure. But he is Lou Reed. -

Finally, White Sox gain a game. Good win tonight. -
Well, this board has been pretty dead lately, a "stimulus" post is indeed in order?

Pink Floyd - The Final Cut. "Not Now John" and a few bomb sound effects may jolt you back awake, but I always found the album relaxing.

LouFest organizers did not allow taping. Of course, someone might of sneaked it in. I did not notice anyone, though. It would have been a great show to tape - the crowd was perfect. If it pops up, it will be posted in the In a Future Age thread.

Appetite is a classic album. Afterward, they sucked.

I read that it was Steve, but then again I have read that it was other people; regardless some of it is pretty funny.

The Chicago crowd seemed to be taking a lot of pictures. But I must admit, while being some the most drunk and esp. stoned fans that I have been around in a long, long time, the crowd was great. They only conversations I heard around me was regarding the show itself, like "what a awesome solo, man" and "that was great, man." I kinda think I was the only one who was sitting in the location that was on my ticket. Everyone seemed to be going from seat to seat. It was a pretty much a free for all.

That's for sure. -
He did the same thing in St. Louis. I caught Tweedy down there on Sunday, I should have planned better and caught the Crowes on Friday. Another nice recording.

Just to prove that the Goo Goo Dolls didn't always suck
calvino replied to PopTodd's topic in Someone Else's Song
I saw them open up for the Stones in Chicago in 1999. At the time, I thought the Goo Goo's were a bit drunk or something - they were not very good. I have seen the Stones play better than they did that night, though. I remember seeing the Goo Goo's play on Letterman and at the end of the song they jumped into a kiddie pool filled with something - that's was pretty fun. -
The set list order was: 1. Sunken Treasure 2. Remember The Mountainbed 3. One Wing 4. Muzzle Of Bees 5. IATTBYH 6. Lost Love 7. New Madrid 8. Airline To Heaven 9. When The Roses Bloom Again 10. The Ruling Class 11. Jesus, Etc. 12. Via Chicago 13. Spiders 14. Hummingbird 15. So Much Wine 16. Passenger Side 17. Casino Queen 18. Misunderstood 19. I'm The Man Who Loves You 20. A Shot in the Arm The crowd was great, esp. for a festival crowd. I was about 10 feet in front of the soundboard and everyone was pretty quiet throughout the whole show. One funny bit of banter that Muzzle of Dan didn

Dave Hoekstra has nice write up in the Chicago Sun-Times

Yeah, I was in high school during the time it aired. Like I good catholic school kid, I must have already been in bed. Damn school. Though I must admit, my musical palate was not as varied back than. Hopefully they will put it out on DVD someday.

For the life of me, I don't remember this show. Which is a bummer, because the lineup's looked great. PopTodd - This was aired in the Chicagoland area?

I guess Zeppelin's policy of kicking the shit out bootleggers has laxed a bit. There is a bunch on their site.
