I glad you cleared that up - I was wondering who the hell you were. As far as the topic goes - WTA is not a favorite of mine, but I think the songs hold up live rather nicely. I am not real fond of I'll Fight, but after the South Bend show I was humming it for few days.

I do love when huge storms hit on a weekend (when I don't have travel plans). Walking around my neighborhood is always great during a snow storm. The lakefront is nice during the winter, esp. when the waves crash over Lake Shore Drive and I do love downtown Chicago during the Holiday's. I'm not a shopper, but I do enjoy walking around State St. and Michigan Ave. and people watch, plus all buildings' lobbies look nice.

Tribune Link Great news. -
Pat Hughes reflects on 15 years with Santo Nice piece by Hughes. Santo's Brant Brown drop ball call was one the best.

Same here. He put up a hell of a fight and never lost his sense of humor.

I hope that's the case. -
Exactly. In the 60 Minute segment, the director even had her doubts regarding opening night/weeks.

"60 Minutes" ran a segment on the Spiderman play last night. It looked pretty cool. I have no idea how they are going recoup all their costs, though. Here is the CBS link to the segment.

I guess Pearl Jam is allowing their 2000 soundboards to seed on the torrent sites. Starting from the 1st one of 2000, someone has been uploading them on Bt.Etree. With the exception of radio airplay, I don't listen to much Pearl Jam. I have been down loading a few of their 2000 shows, though. I did see them play a Lolla a few years back - good show.

Do you know by chance which source you grabbed?

"Redskin reparations" Boy, that was a fun listen.

Nobody Ruins Dylan Like Dylan Above is from the NPR All Songs Considered The Blog. It sparked a rather large amount of comments. I do grade Dylan concerts on a bit of a curve, but I don't think I ever left a show disappointed. I must admit while at and after the show, in the back of mind, I'm thinking I am seeing "Bob Dylan" and it may be the last time doing so.

Here is a nice quote from Sandberg regarding with him signing with the Phils - makes sense to me: -
There hasn't been. He is usually pretty prompt with his start time.

I thought Sandberg said he did not want to manage in the minors, anymore. Oh well - it was a dumb move by the Cubs. -

It took me about 12 years to convince my wife to start introducing some colored lights to the tree. I always thought all white lights were boring. This year will be the first year having a toddler around the house with a tree. The over/under of it being knocked down is two and four for ornaments being broken.

Great Moments in Rock and Roll History

The Who performance from the NYC concert was great, too. Actually the whole concert was great. I guess the reunion Pink Floyd at the latest Live Aid should be mentioned. -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7xjF9I2HWE Above is clip of the new Darkness box set. It's from the UK but I assume it will be the same in the U.S. It does look pretty cool - I am on a computer with no speakers so I can't hear the footage, hopefully it's not too annoying.

I think he was being sarcastic. A lot of the recent shows are popping up, I am sure a recording will surface. I missed him completely on this tour, which is a bummer. From The Witmark Demos, I really enjoying the version of Talking Bear Mountain Picnic Massacre Blues - I always like it on Bootleg Vol. 1-3 version, but I like slower Demo version better. I never heard any of these demos before; great, great stuff.

I was always a big fan of his Tunnel of Love record, production (as with a lot of his stuff for me) was a bit sub-par, but I thought the songwriting was great. The Wild, The Innocent... and Nebraska are my favorites, followed by Tunnel of Love. Since Tunnel of Love, I think Tom Joad and Devil and Dust are the only ones I own. I enjoy Tom Joad more than Devil record.
