  1. I agree with all the above. Finally gotten around and watched this. The audio right up to the start of the songs seemed to change just as the song starts. And Chris definitely comes across as a waster. It would be interesting to ask Larry Campbell who was stranger to work with: Dylan or Robinson. That being all said, I enjoyed the DVD. Campbell really adds alot to the music. Also Rich's lead vocal song were a highlight. I did buy a ticket to their Chicago show, actually lucked out and got a great ticket. Looking forward it.
  2. The Gambler is a great tune. Never made it to Nashville, yet. Drove over it a lot (on the Interstate) going to the Smokies but never stopped. This year, I drove by it the day the Interstate open after the flood - it looked dreadful. PopTodd, how is the clean-up coming along?
  3. The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll - Dylan Casey Jones - Grateful Dead
  4. I agree this season has been great. The new characters and the intro of the "East" side has been are interesting. The whole funeral scene with the funeral director, Tami, and Saracen was one of my favorites. And of course it was nice to have Lyla Garrity back last night.
  5. Opening night looked good. I was surprised to see that tickets were still available the day of the show (or at least the day before when I checked). Here is a review from Mr. Miner's blog.
  6. At first I thought you were talking about Disintegration . I ordered this and waiting for delivery. Did they did good job on the reissue/remastering?
  7. How's this? - I haven't gotten around to get it yet.
  8. Yeah, it's credited: It does look pretty cool. This is my first Nels Cline Singers I purchased (for some reason)- definitely interesting.
  9. This poor guy might remember for other reasons - yikes: From CNN
  10. Potatoe Creek State Park is close. I used to hang out (but never camped) there when I was a kid - nice area. Probably your typical camp ground, but it is close to South Bend. Plus you will probably be tired from the show, anyway. IDNR Site
  11. I think the whole premium ticketing sucks - I never heard of the "requirement of buying two games". I don't think the White Sox do this (though they might start after this year). I could be wrong about the Sox. I haven't bought a premium ticket since they started it.
  12. Thanks for the link.. Liked the below quote:
  13. My sister was a huge Rush fan, she copied a bunch on their stuff from a boyfriend onto 8 track and I used to grab them from her car and listened to them. Kinda stopped listening to them by mid 80s, but my friend had an extra to the below concert. They made the dismal World sound good. It was a fun night - I was happy when they played Trees, it always one of my favorite of theirs. The video screens/visuals were pretty cool too, esp during The Roll the Bones song. Me and the wife still throw on Chronicles and extended drives. Definitely great driving music. I must admit I did like the movie I
  14. Black Limousine - Stones Fast Car - Tracy Chapman Thunderbird - John Hiatt Automobile - John Prine
  15. Here is an article from the New York Times regarding today's Tiger game. At least Galarraga got a car and Gotta love politicians.
  16. Someone just uploaded the 3/7/82 show on one of the sites, I think bt-etree. This is my first show from this era that I have heard. Like the two keyboards and Kreutzman sounds great. Kreutzman definitely lights a bit of fire under the band at this show. I love Mickey (for the most part) but it is fun just listening to Kreutzman play without a 2nd drummer.
  17. Wouldn't mind hearing it - do you remember the date of the show?
  18. Here is an article from Spin. Most of info was in the three articles that you linked, but I didn't see the below:
  19. Never saw The Jerry Band. I did see Weir/Wasserman in 1992 (I think) at the World Music Theater. It was pretty empty and I completely understand - It was at the World! I always liked the duo's version of Throwing Stones.
  20. That's pretty f'd up about selling the tickets after the fact...who would want that? He was getting a lot of favorable calls in the 9th.
