  1. I haven't voted yet - but I think I am going with Biss. Honestly, I am not a huge fan of any of the candidates.
  2. Below is message from my kid's little league regarding my coaching eligibility - I think I may have more clearance than many in the Trump administration, now.
  3. Something light to read over spring break - hey Lammy???? Never heard of it - interesting publishing backstory, though. It seems that nothing ever comes easy for Russian writers..
  4. I am guessing Sessions would have been on the chopping block, if he didn't fire McGabe. Of course, I think Sessions won't last the month, either.
  5. Yeah - Chicago has pretty crap large scale venues --- I live 10 minutes from the World Music Theater - I went there for a show for the 1st time in over 20 years this past summer -- it sounded the same as it did back then.
  6. This was my 1st time seeing the band inside - I had seat even with stage - up high, stage left. A great prespetive on the drums. It was a fun show.
  7. Below is a SugerMegs' Stream link. Sound http://ia802706.us.archive.org/13/items/VanMorrison1970-04-26FillmoreWestSanFranciscoCA/VanMorrison1970-04-26FillmoreWestSanFranciscoCA.mp3?cnt=0 Setlist http://tela.sugarmegs.org/_asxtela/asxcards/VanMorrison1970-04-26FillmoreWestSanFranciscoCA.html
  8. First time listening to this audience recording from 3/16/94. Rosemont sound sucks - but this recording is not that bad at all. Had a soundboard forever - but it always sounded real flat and lifeless. https://archive.org/details/gd1994-03-16.140065.fob-mk4.ebel.flac1644/19SugarMagnolia.flac
  9. We don't have that problem at our library -- not sure if that is a good thing or bad thing, though - anything to get kids to a library is a good thing - I say. Anyway, just put on the 73 show from the Rainbow in London.
  10. Yeah it is great - an awesome librarian is a great asset to any community. She is always picking great books for my kids, too. And yeah that expanded version is pricey -- that's why I always check it out from the library. I have had the original release for long while, but hearing the complete (at least I think they are complete) shows that the original are culled from is nice.
  11. Thanks to "Oil Can Boyd" for posting the below - finished it up last week - great, fun read. It's great that the author/illustrator had a "non-New Yorker who was living in New York City at the time" point of view. Just the right amount of snark throughout. Posted 02 January 2018 - 01:00 PM I can't tell you how much I am enjoying this book. It is part graphic novel but mostly an interesting personal history of New York City. It is funny and fascinating and informative.
  12. Good to know - my librarian put it in my hold pile - she figured it would be a book I would enjoy. I probably never would have came across it if she hadn't.
  13. They released an expanded edition of It's to Late Now to Stop Now recently. Definitely a classic. Last week, I listened to Wavelength and Into the Music - both great records. Also just picked up the below from the library, yesterday. Astral Weeks : A Secret History of 1968 - by Ryan H. Walsh
  14. Indeed, but Trump can't say on the stump that they won 'bigley' if Saccone loses ---- which would happen if somehow Saccone pulls it out.
  15. Nice win in PA for the Democrats, if it holds. The district voted solidly for Trump last election.
  16. Didn't you switch jobs recently, too? Sorry to hear this. Tomorrow, I am going to have job-phone interview for the 1st time in about 21 years - should be a hoot...
  17. More than likely the re-release - it was on my hard drive, I remember getting the re-release from the library. My brother is the Pearl Jam fan and he has all the original releases. He is the one who always bugged me in the early 90's when he wanted to play Pearl Jam/Jane's Addiction and I wanted to play Phish/Dead...
  18. Yeah I heard it on the radio - not so good. This past weekend the wife and I had a early 90's alt Friday night - part of it was listening to Ten (complete) and bouncing around Vs. and Vitalogy. Never have been a huge fan, but it was fun listening to Ten, again.
  19. I think Jay is just fine with where he is at.
  20. Back in time for baseball - perfect timing. Hopefully your ears get back in shape at some point.
  21. I thought the Loop send-off was great -- everyone showed up but Garry. The Brandmeier/Kilman/Bruce Wolf was a highlight. Also Joe Walsh and Danny Bonaduce. Really glad the Loop/WLS let this happen -- one time having all these damn radio stations being owed by a few companies, worked out.
  22. I know they were working on the harmonies a lot during this period, so you might be right. I just didn't think Jerry (or Phil) could get his vocals that high - pitch wise.
  23. Studio wizardry. I can be wrong, though. That's why American Beauty is a treasure - great songs and great production.
  24. I would say Bob is singing all the vocals on the studio version of Sugar Magnolia. Double tracked. I know they did one of those Classic Album shows on American Beauty. (Anthem to Beauty or something like that) perhaps they talk about it on that doc. I don't remember.
