  1. PanicStream just uploaded a Chuck show from 6/6/86 - a Chicago Blues Fest show. Keith sat in. What a line up for the fest. Chicago really use to know how to throw down back in the day.
  2. POTUS (XM Radio - reliable) said that Napolitano has been 'benched' by FOX. The regime will replace him with someone else, soon enough.
  3. I came across the below in my library system - not as good as the Stones one, but really good stuff. Otis Clay's version of Wonderful Tonight is top notch - always have been a sucker for the tune. Layla is another interesting stand out. The cd is worth searching out 1. Miss You - Larry McCray 2. Blues Power - Koko Taylor 3. Wonderful Tonight - Otis Clay 4. Lay Down Sally - Carl Weathersby 5. Strange Brew - Buddy Guy 6. Before You Accuse Me - Bo Diddley 7. Roll It Over - Joe Louis Walker 8. Crossroads - Honeyboy Edwards 9. Old Love - Otis Rush 10. Too Bad - Pinetop Perkins 1
  4. I always thought the Beatles made Chuck's songs sound like bubble gum music - maybe, because of their choice of Berry' tunes that they chose to cover. I give you that Stones' version of Come On was very lacking.
  5. Hail, Hail is a great doc - Keith was giving it to Chuck and Chuck definitely gave it to Keith. Been at Chuck's St. Louis place a half dozen times, but never saw him play. Great, great songwriter.
  6. Getting back to the 3.16.94 - we did chant 'turn it up' after the 1st or 2nd song, correct? I think this run was Cutler's first shows doing the front of house sound.
  7. Yeah - most labeled it as 'Dark Star Jam' (6.22.91) on the Archive. I would say the show was my 2nd favorite show that I saw - 7/19/89 being the 1st.
  8. The first night I had tickets in upper level towards the side - perfect sight lines to watch the drummers do their thing,
  9. It was full Dark Star - well a full one for 94. 1st verse at least. Barring a tease in 91 or 92 - it was the only Dark Star performance that I saw.
  10. I was at the 1st two Rosemont shows in 94, too. The only two times that I saw them at an indoor venue. The venue always sucked but it was an okay two shows for me. Had fun. The Spring, 94 shows were vastly superior to the Summer, 94 shows that I saw.
  11. I believe the below is the full Billboard article that A-Man posted a couple of days ago -- actually it looks like a completely different one. At least the authors are different. http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/7717115/grateful-dead-50th-anniversary-backstage-pass Still doesn't mentioned if they actually paid for the masters or not.
  12. The first dead show I ever taped off the radio, the DJ called Ramble On Rose - Rambling Eyes - while he was running down the 1st set song list. So for the longest time, I thought that was the name of the tune. Still have my cassette with Rambling Eyes written on it. Not sure how the DJ came up with that title - I don' think eyes are even mentioned in the song. Also - I agree, the new 91 Garcia release is a good one. Also agree that Ozzie Ahlers' tone/sound/playing always bugged me.
  13. I could never really get into Let It Grow. Lazy Lighting is another clunker. Also, Unbroken Chain never did anything for me.
  14. I listened to the Maddow show last night and it did seem like she got played a bit. Not much substance. At every opportunity, the media and every citizen should still press for the tax returns, though.
  15. Yeah - maybe I should have mentioned the Stewart info in my original post. It's a shame that Whitten couldn't get and stay clean/healthy --- probably would have made a good bit of dough off the tune.
  16. Yep - I was listening to Stewart's Atlantic Crossing this a.m. Always enjoyed the tune. (Happen to go on Wiki to look up on the credits of Crossing and came accross Danny's Whitten's name)
  17. Never realized that Danny Whitten wrote I Don't Want to Talk About It.
  18. Wonder if he hired a new manager - looks like he is with Thirty Tigers. Not sure if has been with them for a while, though or not.
  19. Yeah - that interview had to have been edited down for the web. I haven't seen an actual Billboard mag. in a while. Probably only can get one in LA and maybe NYC. If I remember correctly, aren't they printed in a rather format/style?
  20. Thanks - didn't even notice them when I took a peak at the site, yesterday.
  21. ^ Need to try to spot you in the Boston, Elevation DVD.
  22. I was kinda kidding. It just hit me on the way back from the grocery store that I wouldn't have had to spent the dough on the grub or have this meeting if we had a sane President in office.
  23. Hosting our monthly letter-writing campaign committee tonight at our house. I just spent $65.00 on food and drink. I am wondering if I could write off the grocery bill on my taxes or at least send the bill to Trump regime and they can pay me back.... Hell it's potluck, I should have everyone bring in their receipts and we can mail them all to the White House. Guess our local grocery stores should be happy about the election outcome - we started the group back in December, guess there has been at least one local economic benefit.
