  1. It is "just ok." Kind of boring actually. Kevin did you watch "The Office" Thursday? It was kind of boring actually.
  2. They've only played there once I think. That is a fantastic venue! I second that prayer.
  3. Anyone else think What Light is the most "fan friendly" new song? Could be...it's one of the best new tracks, IMO. I do like Walken and The Thanks I Get a little more. No songs so far are nearly as cool as I'm Always in Love, Jesus, Etc. or Hummingbird (other fifth tracks). Then again, we've only heard them live. I'm getting very curious to hear the studio versions. "Just sing what you feel don't let anyone say it's wrong."
  4. A while? It's been like 2 months and one week (11/24-25). What the hizzy wilconutizzy? They have only played 5 shows in CT and only 2 since 2000. No more Chi-town complaints please
  5. I didn't either until just now. I must check it out and attempt to strum it on my six-string as well.
  6. Sweet! I would like to get them all on vinyl. Isn't Summerteeth like $50 and hard to get?
  7. Maybe: The Side Without the seeds Walken Ripple My Woman From Tokyo Let's Not Get Carried Away Have a Cigar Fernando etc. I hope The Thanks I Get will be on there, they did it on Conan for cryin' out loud.
  8. Sweet! I heard it in a restaurant a few weeks back. I've also heard Handshake, Hummingbird, Cali. Stars, and, Jay Bennett's wonderful "My Darling."
  9. Hey Billy Kidding, kinda. I really like "She Came Along to Me."
  10. I'm not expecting a tour until at least late April myself. Maybe they'll do a few "random dates" at the end of March/early April before they go Down Under. I'm also hoping for some terrific Northeast theatre dates. And yes, Brown would be terrif.
  11. Hahahaha. Sorry InGlenn. It is a tall order.
  12. Kevin, be sure to watch Mr. Schrute tonight. It should be a good one. Todd Packer makes a guest appearance. "Cars" is such a fantastic song. It may be one of Jeff's best. I have been listening mostly to the engineer's demos lately. I forgot that "Cars" is called "Rhythm" on the regular demos.
  13. Yeah...it's pretty flippin' good. IMO, as an entire album, it's much better than their other 3 studio albums. I love Okonokos though fo sho. You're from Troy? I have close family in Scotia.
  14. 1. Golden 2. Mahgeetah 3. Dancefloors Apparantly I like the beginning of It Still Moves
  15. Canada Shmanada. Come back to the Northeast! (Please come when I'm available to go to the show).
  16. There's a Son Volt song on this soundtrack too called Looking at the World Through a Windshield
  17. I doubt it. I didn't even know it was a song until I saw the 1/17 Nashville setlist.

    A.M

As would I. Pat or John, if you read this, please play above song for "Dave" at the Mercury Lounge show, NYC, 3/19. Thanks in advance.
  19. Welcome! I don't know if it's the best, but it's pretty goshdarn good.
  20. These recordings are sweet and raw. I love to hear the A.M. tracks live from '95. Word! I got them from bt in the fall.
  21. Really? If he still posts here, what's his name?
  22. 11/13/05 he was in Northampton's Calvin Theater. It was there that I met the great and powerful Mr. Tweedy. His solo shows are very fun.
  23. Lol. I agree about Circles. It is such a feel good album. I'm grateful that I don't need to be impressed with musical complexity all the time. "Pussy rock" is wonderful sometime....especially when it's well written. I also frequently listen to Circles and look forward to my signed copy of the new record. I will go see them at Mercury Lounge in NYC (3/19). Hope to see some of you there.
  24. I LOVE Pet Sounds and of course I love YHF. There are similarities between Brian's and Jeff's writing styles. I think the end of Summerteeth (Wake up feeling old, Summerteeth) has some nice Brian-esque moments, especially the vocal harmony in the title track. I've listened to Pet Sounds since I was a child and YHF was the first Wilco album I heard, which sucked me right in. I used to tell my father, "You've got to hear this, it's like the Pet Sounds of my generation." I base this mostly on the emotions that I sense from each record. I loved hearing this but the most I got out of it was that
