  1. Nice! Donna, if that pup needs some more Obama paraphernalia let me know - I'm sitting in a house FULL of the stuff!
  2. Hell yeah. One of the best acoustic sets around there. Must hear stuff.
  3. Typical Arkansan. I inhale from a bong - a bong filled with hope.
  4. Yeah. Morrison - When the Music's Over CR - Bad Luck Blue Eyes Goodbye Two of their best imo.
  5. And the masters make the rules For the wise men and the fools But it's alright, Ma
  6. The scream on the Floyd's "Careful With That Axe, Eugene" is pretty damn blood-curdling.
  7. The NRA is very very powerful. Somehow they've convinced a sizeable number of folks that a vote for a Dem means bye-bye guns. I've heard that argument a lot around here.
  8. Joe Cocker's scream on "With a Little Help.." has to be up there high on the list.
  9. I had to laugh (to keep from cryin', I guess) yesterday when she referred to the "Palin/McCain Administration". Wow.
  10. Cool. Much better than Babs doing a fundraiser if you ask me.
  11. I understand. I gotta say though - Califone is the best band I've been exposed to since I was turned onto to teh Wilco.
  12. I have no idea what these are but I hope like hell that they are in the order of release.
  13. Best line of the day on the Campaign Trail goes to Barack Obama - "He (McCain) is now talking about going after the old boy network...The Old Boy Network...in the McCain campaign 'the old boy network' is known as A STAFF MEETING.
  14. Thanks for these Aman. I was just bitching to Wheelco the other day about this "Reunion".
  15. Not true. Obama is not the ultimate lefty wet dream. That would be Kucinich...err umm, I mean Kucinich's wife.
  16. Were you looking for ScarFires that are on DPs? #6 (10/14/83) is a good long version, with Brent getting some cool 'marmba' sounds out of his keys. #13 (5/6/81) has a hidden track on disc 2 that is a S/F from 11/1/79 - 35+ minutes (!), and Mr. Mydland goes nuts on this as well. Hope this helps.
  17. The Pink Floyd - 16 Nov 1974 SBD DSOTM in its entirety. Unbelievably dreamy.
  18. Yeah. I was thinking about some of my favorite Rick moments in the Floyd canon, and the first thing that came to mind was those deeply psychedelic, atmospheric sounds he made during live versions of Set The Controls - you know the section - where everyone else just sort of drops out, leaving Rick to make those crazy "bubbly" noises. Damn, those long, flowing organ chords he would play (especially early in their career) were really the shit. And, as MeDave said, his vocal hamonies that he would do with Gilmour on things like Echoes were so beautiful, and poignant. Rarely was his name mentio
  19. Oh my God no. This is just terrible news. I don't even wanna go to work now. Dammit. I'll try to think of something to say later.
