  1. I'm genuinely curious about this. Is it the overall quality of playing? Because the Lakers blew? Not a solid match up? The coaching? The cities? What? What made it the worst Finals ever?
  2. Isn't that in itself un-hetero? You freak of manhood you.
  3. I'm thinking THE RIGHT is behind that photo scandal.
  4. Kamera's got a pic of me riding my dog ! Wow.
  5. Jeebus. I'd never turn my back on Iron Mike, even for a split-second photo op.
  6. Biggest comeback game in post-season history= really boring? Fine.
  7. Phil & Friends with the Black Crowes. I hope this becomes a temporary trend: Phil Lesh & Friends and The Black Crows will play on Sunday, October 5, 2008 at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre Alpharetta, GA Showtime is 6:30 PM Ticket prices are $71.00 for Upper & Lower Reserved and $50.00 for General Admission Lawn The first mail in dates for these performances are Wednesday Through Saturday, June 18 Through 21, 2008. (ed: GDTS spelled "Crowes" wrong).
  8. That popcorn deal looks cool. We used to put popcorn into an ancient wire basket with a handle on it and hold it over the fire in the fireplace. It worked, too.
  9. MJ always stepped up his game when he needed to. He carried the entire team on his back at times. Kobe seems comfortable being just another key player. I never have got the "Kobe= best baller ever" take. It must come from folks who have never seen MJ, Russell, Bird, Magic, etc., play.
  10. Willie Randolph shit-canned: http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5i9wZofy...pTpx7AD91BMEU00 http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/25199779/ Probably (half-kidding) immediately after last night's Baseball Tonight. I rarely watch that anymore but they tore into ownership, Minaya, et al. Randolph doesn't deserve the shit-storm that's rained down upon him with the Mets, anyway. That club has issues and Randolph's not the main problem.
  11. Don McLean, "American Pie" The Beatles, "Honey Pie"
  12. NBC did a very nice piece on him Friday night with many of his colleagues and people he has interviewed over the years chiming in. The parts when he was sitting down with his dad, "Big Russ," being jointly interviewed , were particularly endearing. A decent man through and through, according to his peers.
  13. I was actually going to suggest you grab 'em if they're blanks as I know you still dub shows! I don't listen to the gazillion tapes I have enough now anyway.
  14. It does go into some of the people he's whacked as well as enemies who may have set up this hit.
  15. See, I liked the ending just fine- prior to buying into this theory. The theory and it's rationale sits well with me, even moreso now. I think it's an excellent ending and makes excellent sense.
  16. Agent dispels the rumor: http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20...sp&c_id=mlb
  17. I would have put this in the old Sopranos thread but it's been locked. This is a very extensive look into the theory that Tony was killed in the final episode through a frame-by-frame analysis of the diner scene. It includes the camera angles Chase used, other customers and their significance/lack of, the meaning of Meadow's absence, etc. Pretty interesting read if you are a fan of the show and perhaps some logic to those whom have expressed frustration over the final episode/scene: http://masterofsopranos.wordpress.com/the-...ion-of-the-end/
  18. Yeah, but only because Bill Wyman had to fill in on guitar for a useless Keith.
  19. Kevin Youkilis almost single-handedly took the park over yesterday by purchasing 140 tix for friends/family.
  20. Yes, one could certainly feel like an outsider at a Phish show if not familiar with all the interactive/audience participation stuff that became incorporated into their shows over the years. Pretty cool, in my book.
  21. lynn: I've lost my debit card/credit cards probably 15-17 times and only once did someone use it. You need to cancel it immediately and call the card provider/bank. Let them know the date and time you lost it (caution on a time you preciously remember using/seeing it last) and they will refund the money to your account. They generally credit it on the next monthly statement and send you an affidavit to confirm the illegal usage of your card.
