Not terribly disappointed. The major people I voted for won. Unfortunately, Iowa's 4th Congressional district (I live in the 3rd) will return Steve King to D.C. Also, our legislature and governor remain in the hands of Koch Brothers-inspired Republicans. I wish Iowa Republicans would have the vision to see what they finally saw in Kansas and Wisconsin. As a teacher, I'm very worried about changes over the next couple of years.

I find myself increasingly pessimistic about tomorrow. Get out there and vote, people. This president and his apologists need to be sent a message.

Vice District Brewing is a great brewery about a 10 minute drive or 30 minute walk south from the Art Institute on Michigan Avenue. Great beers and atmosphere.

Right Stuff is top 10 or 15 for me. I want to see First Man on the big screen. Finding time may be hard.

Maron talked about going to a LRS a year or two ago. I used to listen to him only when the guest interested me. I soon figured out each interview was interesting. I get why he may be grating sometimes, but I have come to look forward to the 3 or so hours I get to spend with him each week.

If Roe is destined to fall, it's not because of today's vote. If Kavanaugh should somehow fail, Trump would nominate another judge with very similar views.
