  1. If that looked more like a 60s era transistor radio and less like an 80s era boom box, it would be an excellent illustration for VUs Rock and Roll.
  2. Just got tickets for me and a certain banned member of this board.
  3. I assumed the hazmat suit was to protect its wearer (no idea who it is) from the radioactive preppy image.
  4. A friend shared these photos from a park in the south loop of Chicago taken on a dog walk a couple of weeks ago.
  5. This is happening to me again. Won't take the same username and password I use on the web.
  6. Today, I am in Arlington, TX for a Cowboys game. My wife has been a fan her whole life and never seen a home game, so... Last night we had fantastic tacos at Papaya Mexican Grill in Arlington. I little hole in the wall, and even though we got there late and maybe kept them from wrapping up their night, they were so great and accommodating! Any Dallas area people, check them out! Heading to Dealey Plaza soon. #oswaldactedalone
  7. Love, love, love! Such a great performer. Have a great time!
  8. The new Escovedo is out today. Listening now. Doesn't have the punch of the last one sonically. It's a concept album, and I can't really focus on lyrics right now, so I look forward to absorbing it more later.
  9. I'm a Vikings fan. I'm nervous about every fucking thing.
  10. Good God, let it be the Vikings' year!
  11. If, 25 years ago, people were able to determine that Joe Klein was the Anonymous who wrote Primary Colors based on comparing writing styles, I have little doubt that this person, if truly a senior official, will not long remain anonymous.
  12. That's the URL I'd always been using. When I switched to forums.viachicago.org, I saw the error message.
  13. It's been an awful rainy holiday weekend in Des Moines. I took advantage yesterday to check out a couple of movies, BlackkKlansman and Juliet, Naked. Both were great. I read Juliet, Naked by Nick Hornby when it came out. It's a great book. Anyone who's posted here or on any music board more than 1,000 times would probably enjoy Juliet, Naked. Plus, it has Country Disappeared in the soundtrack.

  15. I'm guessing there will be a salute to Aretha.
  16. Todo, my 13 year old son had a seizure after almost exactly a year with no anti-seizure meds. We're lucky we know the meds work. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  17. I think David Byrne's tour this year had one setlist. It was very carefully choreographed, so no complaints. I think this is a bigger issue today than 25 years ago. I TRY not to look at recent setlists before seeing shows. It could only create disappointment in similarity of shows or missing a favorite in the show I saw. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  18. Wasn't there an entire SNO bit about Jack Johnson being bare footed? Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  19. Sturgill gave maybe the best guitar performance I've seen. Completely blown away. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  20. Margo Price Nathaniel Rateliff STURGILL SIMPSON Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  21. You're right. Surprised to see some blue in my suburban area. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
