Awesome thanks Wendy!

Can anyone PM a link or where to find this. GD libble and their lack of Canadian content.

What's the price of gas where you are?

Jesus eh! We usually gas up in Sault Ste. Marie, MI when we have the chance. One of the advantages of being a border town! -

It's $1.27 here in the Sault, dunno what that is in American prices and gallons but that's as high as it has ever been here. -
Glad It's Over was recorded during the Sky Blue Sky sessions.

I have absolutely NO CLUE what to think of this album upon first listen... Wow lol.
-
Bass and I believe you missed the boat on this one. http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?sho...=33881&st=0 What people should talk about is how the first piano chords of this song are the exact same as the end of Ashes Of American Flags into HMD.

Yeah I really love the Who part in Into The Rushes. Upon more and more listens the album is getting better with each time. Anyone else feel that Diamonds' vocals are really solid throughout? A lot better than Return To The Sea IMO.
-
I really don't like how Diamonds is using Unicorns songs all the time, Penner doesn't do that!
-
So it has now leaked and I was wondering what everyone's thoughts on it are? It's definitely a lot darker and epic sound but I dunno if I dig that as much as the pure pop of Return To The Sea. There's some really solid tracks but the album goes on forever tracking in at over an hour, and personally that is too long for my liking. The Arm is a pretty killer opener though.

Seeing them in two weeks in Toronto ye ye!
-
I believe Toronto sold out in 2 seconds because I was there RIGHT at 10:00 and it was gone, got nothing. It's nice to know that Ticketsnow, Ticketmasters affiliate, is selling 17 pit tickets at $450 EACH and front row seating at $750, there has to be 200 tickets on there in total. What that is is bullshit and now I'm going to have to go through that, stubhub, craigslist, ebay or miraculously find a nice person on At Ease trying to sell four tickets to Toronto. This type of ticket fiasco makes Wilco seem like nothing!
-
The Ark and Ann Arbor are both awesome places if I wasn't trying to get Radiohead tickets tomorrow I would be all over this.
-
That's a pretty good list, not many bands from P.E.I. either though... Seems like Canada is bunch of wasted space.
-
That was pretty hilarious, I actually lol'ed quite a few times. You should do THE PROVINCES next Ken! Nunavut and the Yukon would be tons of fun!
-
Ok Computer In Rainbows The Bends Kid A/Amnesiac Hail To The Theif Pablo Honey To me Radiohead is on the same turf as Wilco in the not putting out a junk album yet.
-
Hey Lizish yeah the Sexsmith show is agonna be awesome. He's debuting a brand new album and is playing all tha hits with an orchestra, I believe you can still get tickets. It's at Massey Hall too which is awesome (best venue in the world pretty much) and I buy my tickets for any show there from there site (if you go to enough shows there the fanclub is totally worth it). http://www.roythomson.com/eventInfo.cfm?E=...earMonth=2008,4

I actually completely agree with that statement. Wilco and Radiohead are my two favorite active bands and I believe them to be probably the two best bands in the world right now, not overselling them or anything!

I can't believe I haven't posted in this thread yet! This years playoffs are pretty unpredictable I figure but I'm going with Pittsburgh and Montreal in the east and San Jose and Detroit in the west. Both the two top seeds but I think they really are the best teams. Montreal vs. San Jose in the final. San Jose for the cup.
-
lizish are you going to see them at the Phoenix in May? I just got tickets for that on Thursday, Tokyo Police Club on Friday and Sexsmith with full orchestra recorded for CBC on Saturday, I'm excited!
-
Has anyone had any experience with WASTE before? Is it safer to go the ticketbastard route or no? Essentially I just want to know where I can get the best seats for the Toronto date.
-
Gotta prepare early!
-
I dunno I was with you, I thought they were really boring but boy live they were really damn good. All super good musicians and the show was just plain fun, I was converted.
-
Even though lizish hate them you would not be disappointed by Stars, they put on a super slick show.
