I have no idea what it means. I just think monkeys are funny. BTW, I edited the above A Riff for a typo. It was supposed to be Asus4 (obviously).

I just watched TWBB last night - the first time in a long while. I find this movie mesmerizing. I think it is my #1 of the decade.

I have not read this one, but I read "V" a couple years back. It was an effort to get thru, but really stuck with me. There are some images from that book that I will never shake. Let us know how this one is, I might need to dive in one day, as well. I recently read the first two and enjoyed them more than I thought. BTW, I just hit page 600 of DFWs "Infinite Jest". It gets so much better after things start falling into place.

Florence + the Machine - You've Got The Love (The XX Remix) I am not usually a fan of this type of music, but I cannot get it out of my head. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ui5TGMWNEPo

It is difficult to choose the top artists of the decade. How to choose criteria? Most influential? Most output (quantity)? Best output (quality)? Most record sales? ... too tough. But I can offer my personally important artists of the decade. The ones that most influenced my musical decade, They are as follows: Wilco Iron & Wine Ryan Adams Avett Brothers Gillian Welch Andrew Bird Bright Eyes

Wow. This thread really sparked some comments. I did not anticipate this; thought I would just share some music. Anyway, let me apologize for my improper semantics. For me "LP" means long play, as in, a full length album as opposed to EP (extended play) or single. In this digital age, it seems our vocabulary tends to get muddled and lose meaning. Sorry for the confusion. I, like all good music snobs, prefer the CD (and vinyl) over MP3s. I am a dork for artwork, liner notes, et. al. I still have CD long-boxes taking up real estate in my house. However, I find cheap MP3s a good place to star

I am not a huge PJ fan, but I can respect what they do. Styx, on the other hand, has to be one of the worst bands ever. -

1. Joe Jackson's "Breaking Us in Two" is the best song of the 1980s 2. Paul McCartnery never wrote a good song after the Beatles broke up (Jenny Wren is close). 3. Les Paul is (was RIP) the most important music figure of the 20th century 4. Fionna Apple is the most under-rated female artist of her generation. 5. AC/DC sucks 6. Terrestial radio sucks (how many times can they recycle those same dozen classic rock songs? My goodness...) 7. It is a shame that acoustic blues is not more popular. 8. I have not listened to Pet Sounds all the way through ... and I have no real interest in doing so. 9 -
