A Perfect mix tape always needs a great starting, middle, and ending point. Start- I Must Be High Middle- I'm The Man That Loves You Ending- California Stars (Jeff Solo if you have a copy of it because it is really beautiful.) Other Suggestions: Far, Far Away and Say You Miss Me (She's moving to Arizona, so it's a perfect match for these songs). Walken (you need a new song) Pieholden Suite There many others, but there's a start.

Yeah, it's a free concert, but I am unsure if I am going because I am not really an avid fan of The Decemberists.

Auditorium is not as bad as you say it is. The acoustics are great and the seating is not bad. I saw Bob Dylan pretty far back, but they were good seats. The only bad thing is I forgot my glasses, so his head seemed like an alien. But I think it's great venue in Chicago.

Rolling Stone's 40 Songs That Changed The World
WaronWar replied to cryptique's topic in Someone Else's Song
I actually just read this issue tonight at my local Barnes and Noble and I think most of (no surprise) is horrible. Not just the list, but the whole issue. Some of the interviews they do are great, but of course Rolling Stone has to get the interviewers in every single one how great the 60's were (yes it is a look back issue, but seriously, they do it every issue). Here's a note to Rolling Stone: the 60's were great, but get over it, you suck because you live in the past every single issue! Besides when they mentioned the past, they only mentioned the stuff that sold well. Try to dig dee -
We need one before I go off to college.

I figured you would be.

Great job. Finally, a reviewer that knows what they are talking about (though the guitar solo "You Are My Face" I believe is Tweedy). Moreover, amazing job at backing at your arguments: most critics are just too plain.
-
I'll see them at Pitchfork. Seems like Kevin is trying to be a lot like David Bowie.
-
I don't think that guy has any idea what he is talking about. His ideas are all over the place.

I have been looking for the Electro-Harmonix 16 second digital delay for a while. I found out from Chicago Music Exchange that they said their delays are no longer being produced and that they were out of stock. So I was wondering if anyone knew any other good looping devices for guitar or if there is another place where I could pick up 16 second digital delay in the Chicagoland area.

Their status will rise, but not on a large scale. Heck, there are about 7 people in my high school of 3,200 that know who Wilco is. You think their popularity or status would have risen with Reprise incident because that got lots of headlines, but it is hasn't. "A Ghost Is Born" only sold a little above 350,000 in the U.S., which is good, but not a sign of popularity. But I don't care if they become popular because I just love listening to their music. The only thing I care about if their popularity rises is that hopefully it won't prevent me from obtaining good tickets.

Name Your Guilty Pleasure Bands or SONGs.....

With that video I can see the first poster's point. By the way, great song off of "Butch"

Yeah, as the previous poster just mentioned you must have not been to a Wilco show the last three years. I've actually read a quote from Cline saying that he has been criticized (besides his noisy playing) in the Jazz community for moving to much.

Check out my full-production cover of "I Am Trying to Break Your Heart"
WaronWar replied to Ruefbomb's topic in Just A Fan
I can't find the cover on your blog page, though nice taste in music. -
I got the self-title a couple months ago and will get "Time" soon. CDs are not really that hard to get, but I hear the LP for the first two albums are hard to find. One note: "Be Not So Fearful" is amazing.

me too because I feel like it's a person who is fucked up yet she fell in love him. Something I can relate to.

Okay, so I downloaded this nelscline-glennkotche2007-02-26flac.16.torrent from dime a dozen, and I tried to decode it in Flac Frontend, but it says I cannot because flac.exe not found.

On SBS, I think Impossible Germany kicks ass.

Does xACT work on Windows?
-
The Glenn interview is awesome.
-
I check FAQ's and directions on how to work it, but I could not find an easy applicable way of playing files. For instance, I downloaded a file that is FLAC. I have Winamp, but I can't play in via it. So I am wondering what I need to play the file or what I need to do?

I can't remember that far back for the 1st album and I am only 18. Just think how great my memory will be when I am 50. But let's just say my 1st album was "Abbey Road" because that's really the album I remember as having the biggest impact on me. 1st concert- Bob Dylan (Auditorium Theatre, Chicago, IL. 2005). I don't remember the exact date, but it was a Sunday near the end of March because it was the last day of my spring break. The show was great especially "Don't Think Twice It's Alright," and "Tryin' to Get To Heaven."

Part of the reason I have been stating that rock and roll is simple is that if every single person believes they can never create a song as amazing as "California Stars," then some kids could never have the amazing dream of becoming a rock and roll star. For example, if one believes they could never create a chord progression or melody as beautiful as "California Stars," how could one ever believe they are any good? Since they would think they could never live up to the expectations; seriously, rock and roll stars are not gods because it's just rock and roll and those "stars" are just like
-
Yeah, there is a difference between playing rock and roll and writing good rock and roll songs. But my point is that Bennett should not let his head get any bigger because he's not writing Beethoven's ninth symphony. It's just rock and roll and that's what I love about it.
