  4. well, i've been listening to a lot of Mississippi John Hurt lately (or re-discovering him). i'm only 37 and my parents werent even born when he first started his 1928 recordings.... and they still the test of time!

  9. same here. P&P twice in 2006 (the last 2 shows of the No Quarter tour), and Jonesey with the Vultures in 2010 (actually briefly shook his hand at the side entrance of Festival hall. a few lads from Liverpool played at the same venue in 1964!

  12. well, Don Mclean said the day the music died in 1959. but for me, any new act that emerged after 2002 is all a blur to me. i wouldnt even have a clue what's #1 on the charts today. pre-2002 acts that are still going still interest me, though
  13. the last one i listened to was Chicago, 7 May 99. it's got a weird mix where the instruments arent balanced properly, so you can hear some more than the others - but it sounds damn good!

  21. australian band (recently reformed after nearly 30 years) 1927 opened up for Michael Bolton recently. i only went for 1927, but the bolt wasnt too shabby... albeit BORING. but hey? - had to get my moneys worth!
