  1. yeah that was epic. I didn't expect the part about staying four days and surfing anyway, I would have bagged whatever there was to bag and said "F- it." Good for you to stick it out and get something good out of the trip.
  2. LOL, I just meant I don't even notice the drums over the noise jam. . I love Via Chicago, might be my favorite Wilco tune ever, but I can't stand the noise there. I've gotten more tolerant of it, the last few times though, I just brace myself for it.
  3. Nice! That sounds really awesome.
  4. Drum solo? My dad and his wife wondered why people clapped "when the lights changed" during VC. I said it was for the noise jam.
  5. Logging in here http://wilcoworld.net/events/?cs-step=members/signin will bring you to a list of shows that tix are currently available for. Start there.
  6. Not really. Weren't all those songs recorded at the same time? it's essentially a double album they spread out over two releases. On that note, a compilation of songs recorded for but not included on YHF (side B on my maxell cassette copy of the album) would actually be "1b" if YHF is my "1a", if counted seperately. Rob
  7. The original email from Wilco states that they did the transfer for us. The email i got had my email address for login purposes and a newly created password. Doesn't seem like there is anything else to do.
  8. 1. YHF. 2. Mermaid Avenue i/II 3. Ghost 4. Wilco the Album 5. The Whole Love 6. Summerteeth 7. Being There 8a. AM 8b. Star Wars 10. SBS
  9. Heh, I've actually driven to/from Tennessee two summers in a row now (from NY). This year I actually got a far as Little Rock. The rest of the world is great, but I love being able to just get in a car and be "Where do I want to go today?" and six hours later be there. Pretty much how my last couple road trips have been. There's lots of cool stuff to see in this country.
  10. Osturńa is the name we've seen on old family documents. Near the Polish border.
  11. They could have played the record twice in a row. Maybe three times. I barely digested any of the webcast. I've been playing the album around and around all day, why not live, hehe? makes me think of: "I was just getting warmed up!" - Jeff at Solid Sound, all-covers show 2013.
  12. Pat Sansoneia Mike Keyswalker Salacious Cline Obi-Wan Glennkotche John Snootles (Lead vocalist of the Max Rebo Band in Return of the Jedi.) (or Grand Moff Stirattin?) Sorry. Really bad.
  13. Would give new meaning to seeing "Jeff Solo shows"
  14. "Any customer can have a vinyl record produced in any color that s/he wants so long as it is black." -Henry Fordilco
  15. The UPSEE shirt, I know it is a bar-coded cat's face, but if you look at the unmagnified image from afar, the bar code seems to read "DE AD."
  16. And, does that mean that the royalty matter has been resolved, since they are playing WTA songs again, or have they caved in and began paying royalties again?
  17. I love New Brunswick. Fundy National Park is amazing, definitely spend a few days there. PEI is nice too, but more laid back - not much "to do" but very beautiful, enjoyable countryside. Sicily was awesome. I visited Palermo, Catania, Siracusa, and Taormina. You could easily spend a whole week or more just on that little island. They even have concerts in the anicent amphitheater at Taormina, Mark Knopfler seems to stop there often nowadays. Haven't been to your other destinations. Easter Island and my ancestral hometown in Slovakia are my bucket list places.
  18. Jeff is kinda pissed that Pat has such big hair, because Jeff was supposed to be the hair guy once Jay left the band. John is smelling Glenn's breath, and Mikael is trying to to intervene or get in on it. Nels is just confused because he thought he was joining a country band. It looks very British.
  19. Does anyone have scans/decent photos of the 2015 SS posters? I like to customize the Roadcase downloads for my digital music devcie with the show posters... Didn't see them on the Kingfu shop or via google search. Thanks!
  20. LOL, Bear's Choice. That was one of the first albums I got. Still like that one. Reckoning, yes,a very good reccomendation. I would think that anyone under the age of 40 started with In The Dark =0 Touch, T. Stones, Black Muddy River.... good stuff.
  21. It was great and fun and I'm glad I was there for it... but I thought some of the song choices odd, and there were not many big singalongs (which I kinda thought they were going for?), or if there were appropriate songs, did the audience choose to keep quiet so they could hear the show? And also no real rarities. I wonder if they would do a plugged-in acoustic show (MTV Unplugged style) if that would make the sound bigger, and elicit more audience participation. Still, I'd be up for it again, now that I have a certain level of expectation.
  22. You haven't missed anything! The official tape is now out. http://wilco.kungfustore.com/roadcase.html
  23. Solid Sound Acoustic Set now available http://wilco.kungfustore.com/roadcase.html
  24. Well, they actually played 94 across to be precise, according to setlist.fm, across the five shows. Subtract 10 for 2 drumz/space each night, and it was 84. but, point taken! I listened to Scarlet Begonias from this weekend a few times in a row last night, thought it was awesome. Agreed on some of the not-so-well-chosen song selections too.
