I am not a fan of soccer whatsoever. I happened to flip on the USA game last night just to check the score, and ended up watching the last 20 minutes or so. I have to admit it was interesting and enjoyable to watch. But I have now officially checked the box on "watch some soccer for 2014", so I doubt I'll watch more. But hey, go USA! Everybody loves a winner.

Never seems to be many folks posting after the Louisville shows I go to... odd. Highlights for me for last night's show - Seeing a few VC'ers and saying hello - nice to see you all there. Sonicshoulder being "that guy" with Scott.... Mr and Mrs Ditty (thanks for the setlst)... and being in the presence of bbop is always an honor. Pecan Pie. There was a lot more banter in the solo part of the show. Jeff seemed to really relax more in that part of the show and get looser. I'm pretty sure my high school didn't have one. We wuz pretty small. College, maybe one line. Only because it's still played at basketball games.

Sigh. Past the 12:00 mark and still didn't sell junior's drum set.

Yard sale day!

The venue website for the Louisville show says "Jeff Tweedy with Special Guest The Minus 5" for the June 11 date. Songkick shows them with Jeff on June 9 and 10 (Baltimore and Washington), but not Louisville on the 11th. And a few other dates w/o Jeff. I'm very excited about that news. Could get very interesting.

Today I drove all the way across southern Indiana, taking the scenic route instead of I-64, while listening to the Mermaid Avenue records in their entirety. Rural southern Indiana is a fascinating part of the country. The drive was great, the weather was beautiful, and the Americana soundtrack was just perfect.

When I went to mail my mom a card yesterday at the post office, they made me buy a 70 cent stamp instead of the normal one. Apparently the card felt "puffy" since it had a little ribbon thingie on it (inside the envelope) and they said it couldn't be "machine processed" and cost more.

I would love to see him, and really wanted to get Louisville tickets. But all the lower arena tickets are (were) $250. That is just absurd in my book.
