  1. Welcome to the board... I saw where the password for the ticketmaster pre-sale is "bluesky" (not "skyblue") according to the WRLT website. Hopefully things will work out better than yesterday's pre-sale for most of us.
  2. Nothing for me either. had about a 90 second delay on the "continue" button at the warning thingie, then none available. Today's presale is certainly not up to usual standards....
  3. See the "how to fight loneliness" thread. Everything in its right place around here...
  4. Breathe. Slowly. If you have not used the presale from musictoday/ticketstoday before (the one that links from wilcoworld), I would suggest that you quickly get your ID and password set up. Even go in and pretend to buy a ticket from the sales that opened at 10 so make sure that you're fully logged in. Then start pinging on the Nashville one at a couple minutes till 11 EST. Good luck!
  5. WW now shows the musictoday presale for this for Wed like the other shows, but the musictoday / wilco presale page does not have Nashville on the list yet. I would expect it will appear sometime today, and be in the presale tomorrow.
  6. There was a good version of A Christmas Carol with George C Scott, too, as I recall. I have a 1920 printing of that book that I read every December. It's a great read. And I don't read! I voted for the Grinch, but Charlie Brown was a close second. I'm actually a bit weary of A Christmas Story. I've seen it so much I think I could recite the whole thing from memory. It's got some great lines, but I just couldn't sit through the whole thing this year. But it does have some awesome lines, from the "deranged Easter bunny" to "Lifeboy" and all the rest.
  7. Yeah, you and all of GA will be sudden Cat-fans... That's cool. Frankly, I'd love to set the dogs up with LSU for the SEC. After watching the LSU game yesterday I think they're a little ove . But beating UT will be a great clean up for us going into a bowl game. We need a quality W to cap off a good regular season.
  8. Not a bad game by the Cats in GA today... just not a good enough game.
  9. What I Like About You - The Romantics I was going to list My Sharona by The Knack, not that I like it but becuase I thought it fit the topic, but was surprised to see that it's a 5 minute song. I had no idea it lasted 5 minutes... although it always felt like it lasted a lifetime when it payed on the radio every 30 minutes back in the day.
  10. I cannot think of one think I like about that man. If he's calling a UK game, I am turning on the radio. There are few people on the planet who annoy me more than that guy & his mouth. Pelphrey, on the other hand.... he's a keeper.
  11. Best: It's Just That Simple with John singing and Jeff on bass, in Louisville. (2nd best: the macrame owl in Cinci) Missed: Tweedy solo... hopefully won't have to repeat that mistake in 08.
  12. Cranberries. It's all about the cranberries.
  13. Isn't the whole notion of declaring one's qualifications for nerdiness on a message board about an indescribable rock band somewhat... redundant?
  14. UK survives in Nashville today against a decent Vandy.... man, the basement of the SEC ain't what it used to be. Napoleon, you all better save back a little something for the 24th. Sooie, well, you know..... Nothing _____s like a big orange. Feel free.
  15. Bad day for the Sooie's.... Here in Kentucky, we root for UK, and anyone playing UT. 'Cept Louisville, of course.
  16. That was less fun than I expected. 25, btw. Could be a connection here...
  17. Korea - Ostrich Philippines - Mangoes China - Szechuan anything Japan - Teppanyaki Belgium - Chocolate Switzerland - Chocolate France - Bread Italy - Margherita Pizza Britain - umm.... not exactly a giant in the cuisine world. sorry.
  18. Jose Feliciano - Light My Fire (The Doors).
  19. In a related story, the sun failed to rise this morning throughout the city of Lexington. Fortunately, I was able to drive to work by the ample light given by the steady throng of torches approaching the campus area. The pitchforks were a nuisance, admittedly, but manageable. Film at 11.
  20. We rented Spiderman 3 on DVD this evening. If I didn't already live here, I would have walked out. It was quite atrocious. Even my 12 YO thought it was boring.
  21. Because I have enough gray hair already without growing new ones. I'm happy with my gray hair, but not looking to actively add to the collection, mind you.
  22. Get well, be well, enjoy your newly repaired pipes. Modern medicine is an amazing thing. And congrats on the NG-avoidance move....
