At crossroads the VIP section appears to be at the font of the stage but off to each side. If you look at the pictures gallery of their web site you can see where they are. I'm pretty sure it's like that for every show. http://www.crossroadskc.com/photo_gallery/ I'm thinking of getting a VIP just so i can tape from in front of a stack with out getting my mic stand knocked around and still be able to enjoy and see the show. BTW Crossroads is having a drawing for VIP upgrades on their site now. • If you purchase Wilco tickets online between now and October 12th, we'll register you

Well if everyone would shut the F#*k up at the shows when he played solo we would! -
Don't be afraid to smoke what you got! The band is known to fill the venue with dry ice smoke so security does not detect random acts of people in the crowd lighting up. your in for one fun eveining!

Hello Ellen, this is Jeff Tweedy...

This story reminds me of meeting Jeff after a show in Tempe during the AGIB tour. My wife who was not feeling very well after the show was over, went to lay down in the car while i was having the band sign my Wilco book. Being a taper i still had my rig with me. After letting Jeff know of her condition and how she was a big fan, I asked Jeff if he could leave a message for my wife on the tape. Without hesitation he ask me her name and took my mic and left a heart felt message to her wishing her well and hoping to see her the next time we were around for a show. Jeff then left the venue -
Thanks! i kinda like looking at it every day.

I probably have entirely to much Wilco stuff; although my wife has not stated griping about it yet, but here is the crown jewel of my visual collection. Summerteeth vinyl is the crown of my audio stuff.

Standing in or by a beer line on the side of a stack as opposed to between the stacks will suck in any venue. It was my first time there and from the way my tape turned out from in front of the board the sound was better than any Dallas venue i have seen them preform going back to 1999. Not only was the sound great but the staff was friendly and the Beer was only four bucks, five if you wanted a Shiner and they put them in plastic cups so you didn't hear that clank of bottles hitting the floor! I also saw the Arctic Monkeys there last night and it sounded just as good and my experience w

I hear Neil Young is available and has a new record coming out... -
Has anyone been to the Dallas venue?

Monica's is still great but IMO better for breakfast. They have a great bottomless margarita and Mimosa offered for brunch. And don't worry about the Eagles jersey. The Dallas Cryboy fans around here are pretty passive. My two favorite teams are the NY Jets and anyone who plays the Cryboys! -

Is this everything Wilco as a band has released on Vinyl? I got a copy of the elusive Summerteeth today and would like to complete my Wilco collection at some point. If this list is complete i still need to find Mermaid Ave and the two singles. It seems odd to me that there are not more singles. Anyone know what's on the flip side of the singles listed above and if they are still available?

Sorry to dig this thread up from the VC tombs but i couldn't agree more with two of these artist mentioned in this piece as similar artist to Wilco I had to search this board to see if any one here knew about them after falling hard for both of them. Decibully Salim Nourallah Just this weekend i heard them both for the first time. Decibully on a official release "Sing out America" and Salim Nourallah live in Dallas. Anyone that enjoys Wilco should check them out. dave

Hey What light! read this review that is in this months American Way magazine that i saw on my flight to the Colorado gigs about Ryan. It does not mention Gram Parson. Although the review does mention other artist as clear cut influences such as Liam Gallagher and Hank Williams but Gram is nowhere to be found... go figure? http://tinyurl.com/22rt64 dave

Just because a artist is influenced by another does not make them a thief when it comes to writing songs. Lucinda Williams one of the most prolific songwriters of our generation, on Friday night she called Ryan Adams one of the best songwriters she has ever heard. I think that says a lot coming from her and her history with Gram Parsons and that genre of music. She also covered a Flaming Lips song, and to quote Lucinda Williams on Friday night at Red Rocks about artist and music theft; which by the way featured a great performance from Ryan Adams at that same gig. "This is a song we l

if you want to find the positive influences of Devendra you need to look no further than the music of David Garza. I was introduced to Devendra's music at Neil Young's bridge benefit show last year and love his live show as well as every release he has put out. But David Garza is 10 years his senior and the inventor of "Freak Folk". If you don't know his music and you enjoy Devendra you should check him out. I'll be seeing Devendra later this year in Dallas which happens to be home to Garza. It will be interesting to see if Devendra pays homage.
