I approve of this thread.

It just clicked for me.. I wasn't a big fan at first either, but I was listening to Smoke Ring on a late night drive one time, and I just got it... Now I'm hooked. His last record "Childish Prodigy" is great too.

Smoke Ring For My Halo is one of the greatest records of this decade.. Probably ever actually... I can't wait to see what he comes up with for his next record.

Yes. He sounds a lot different live. It's more loud, more feedback, more noise, definitely a rock n roll show.

That's interesting, Jeff is usually one of the first one's to meet fans.. I met him in Charleston a few years ago. Him and Michael both went to the rear of the venue right after the show and stood in the rain for nearly an hour, signing autographs etc. Jeff was a little spaced out, but Michael was very friendly. I thought it was very cool of them to go out in the rain to meet fans and I thanked them for it.

I like most of NPR's stuff, but they can get a little smug.. Sometimes while listening, I think of this guy: I don't listen enough to warrant becoming a "member". This American Life is pretty great though, when I'm able to catch it. Ira Glass is great.. For some reason, for the longest time I thought he was a black guy. Piano Jazz is fantastic as well...... Ah shit I should probably be donating....

You won't find a bigger Epi fan than me. If you find one in your range, sounds good, don't think twice just buy it... They are great guitars, and don't believe anyone that say's they are just crappy versions of Gibson's. IMO they are better than most Gibson's. As mentioned above, you definitely can't go wrong with the Sheraton.
