  1. Indeed. I miss the whole sexy drug king pin in an upper class urban neighborhood thing. I also miss the old theme music which somehow made the show better..
  2. I'm a big fan of SBS and I agree that it's a beautiful record. It has a certain mood and flow that the other records don't have which makes it stand out. When it first came out, I can remember listening to it literally non-stop on an 18 hour car ride and that's saying something.
  3. Boobs are proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.
  4. Dude, I don't think I've ever seen you with a different avatar. That one doesn't turn me on near as much as your old one.
  5. I sort of have a tradition with my favorite bands. I go and buy the CD at my local record store the day their new album releases. I've been doing it for 10 years or so. The only Wilco leak I've ever taken advantage of was WTA.. I think leaks kind or ruin albums for me. I can't be sure, but I think it ruined MMJ's Evil Urges, and WTA for me.. There's just something about unwrapping a brand new album and listening while checking out the artwork etc.. A (often poor quality) leak just takes away the value.. At least for me..
  6. You're not missing much. SBS is excellent. There's just a certain mood and cohesive feeling to it. The weather is still too hot for or me to listen to it though.. SBS is a winter album for me (yeah, I have certain albums for certain seasons) WTA is just.. As my six year old what put it, "too easy"...
  7. In response to the original question in the title of this thread; no thank you.
  8. Me too.. I need more of them. And it's also great when Nels and Pat wank together, while Tweedy watches in awe.
  9. Take your time, polish that bitch. I look forward to giving it a listen PT.
  10. Rock N Roll is hard on the body. Some rock stars can live to be 90, others aren't as resilient and won't see 50. RIP Jani
  11. Yeah. He got a lot of requests for "Baby's Arms" (including by my wife). He said he would play it before he left for the encore, but never did. Oh well, he still played a lot of other gems.
  12. Wow, you guys are awesome. Thank you kindly.
  13. It was an excellent show. I was amazed at how Kurt and the Violators achieved such a big sound without a bass.. Just three guitars and drums. Again, awesome show and I highly recommend checking him out if he comes to your town. There was a taper there.. I asked for the name before I left but I was pretty drunk.. He said Southern..... something. Don't remember the last part. But I'd love to get my hands on the audio.. Great acoustics in the room.
  14. That's hilarious. I'm going to see Kurt Vile and the Violators tonight at The 40 Watt in Athens, GA. True Widow is opening.
  15. Not to rain on everyone's picnic, but I've never been a fan of SG's.... I think they look dumb and the neck is too fat for me.. If I want to play an acoustic, I want a fat neck... If I want to play an electric, I want a small neck.. If I were to buy a signature guitar, I'd want a Nels Cline Signature Jazzmaster.

    I Might

I like it.. A lot.. And I think it's better than 95% of the material on WTA. The distorted bass and just overall rockingness of the song is great.. Really looking forward to that new record.
  17. They won't shrug off the dad-rock label until they stop selling the coffee mugs, robes, and slippers...
  18. I don't think so. If you're fucked up you're fucked up..... You can get help and with enough willpower, many people end up turning their life around... But ultimately people choose their own fate...
