That is great news. I for one got on board in the middle of the first season, and have been a loyal watcher ever since. I have wondered just what'll happen when all these kids graduate high school, but I'll take a 3rd season all the same. cheers, b.s.

I have driven a 1998 VW Jetta TDI over 10 years now. Without a doubt the most reliable car I've ever owned. 10 years later and it still gets ~45-47 MPG. I'd definitely have another when the time comes, if I'm not sufficiently wooed by the MINI Clubman S.

My apologies if this has been done before. I've been down in the basement archives so long, someone, or something came along and ate all my bread crumbs and I've had trouble making it back from the hatch. Anyhow, it occurred to me that many on the board (like myself) have a unique handle that has special significance or pays homage to a Wilco lyric, Jeff Tweedy, etc. I thought it might be interesting to share with the board the origins of our user names. I was dubbed "big shoulders" Porter (my surname) many years ago in college by a colleague that drank a potent potable called "Big Should

Have any of you used Yapta? It's a browser add-on (or you can choose to log-in on the Yapta page itself) that allows you to track flight prices, and pounce when the price is right. Amoung its many features is email notification, and if the difference is great enough, and, depending on the airline, you can get a voucher or refund of the difference. Yapta.com I used them for my last flight up to Chicago, and even though I had to make a change to the flight, I did so when the price was lowest, turning a $100 change fee into a $27 change fee. (because the re-booked flight was much lower tha -
Acutally, there were 9 actual tour dates. Cleveland HOB was added at the 11th hour, and I'm proud to say I was there. Kevin

keep an eye on the Eyeball Kid blog http://eyeballkid.blogspot.com/ I'd like to see Ribot as part of his line-up as well. Duke Robillard, though an accomplished guitarist just didn't do it for me on the "Real Gone" Ribot-solos. Still though, I'd see Tom play with the freakin' Muppets Band backing him. Hoist that Rag! Where can I find the lyrics for any of these songs? Incidentally, that was a fine show at the Orange Peel. I was there, up front. Even got a Leroy Bach guitar pick that night. Kevin -
Baby Jagger it is! Pat certainly has the attitude to pull that off. Imagine what he'll be like 10 years from now! Sounds like a fan-dam-tastic show y'all got in Nashville. Mebbe one day I'll make that pilgrimage to the Ryman as well. Can only hope that Wilco will be the reason. cheers, Kevin

Speaking of hair, did anyone else notice how clean and dry Glen's hair was? He's usually soaking wet by the time either of these songs are played at a regular show. They all looked like they were having a great time with it and well, that made me happy too. Sure, I might have liked to have heard a track from Summerteeth in addition to "Hate it Here" but no matter. I enjoyed their performance. The Manuel (or Nudie) was a welcome touch. I was beginning to think Jeff didn't own anything but denim. cheers, Kevin

This show is only marginally funny. Itchin' for Wilco's second song up in this place. k

As I recall, it was playing only at the Varsity in Chapel Hill. Mary and I drove out there opening night to see the film. A few weeks later, we just so happened to catch it once again, this time in Raleigh, at Mission Valley (the largest screen, save for the IMAX.) It was a Thursday night, and the last screening before the films changed out on Friday. The next day it was in the can, on the way back to the distributor. Truthfully, it's been a while since I dusted off the DVD and played it. Perhaps this is the perfect weekend to do just that, since I have no Wilco shows to attend. Last week

I distinctly remember hearing the NPR announcer saying that they would NOT be making this available as a podcast, but that it would be available for streaming. Not forever, though. Just for the foreseeable future. kevin

What? (couldn't resist, Jules) And just to keep this pertinent, I'm going to watch the shit out of some SNL. It's not every week the best band in the world is on the tube. kevin

I need to pick up that "Man in the Sand" again. I bought it for my girlfriend at the time, but never watched it with her. (I think the bassett hound might have eaten it.) -k

Me neither. Weird. Could it be "Music Inspired by the Television Series" or something to that effect? -k
