  1. A very intuitive, well-thought-out second post. Thanks for the list. Hopefully there's still a Dreamer in my Dreams to put at the end though!
  2. Virtually every Wilco album except AM has been represented. Dash 7 please.
  3. "I didn't pay for you to be funny...jackass"
  4. I wish he's bust out "I'm Into Something Good"
  5. I like your use of the back-to-back-double-preposition.
  6. Saw him do this kinda thing back last Feb. in Dekalb. It was awesome. Chills, man, chills.
  7. Bummer. I was hoping for some video tonight...something worth not sleeping for. I mean, it's a Tweedy show but 5 ET comes quickly.
  8. So do we know if this is a vid stream or just audio? Do you get VIDEO with one program and not the other? Anyone?
  9. It hasn't grabbed me yet. I love the first track, last track, and a few in between. But I still think their albums are gradually getting worse. That first one had some incredibly bright pop songs (Long Forgotten Love, Full 5 Paces) that are better than anything off the new one or Circles hands down.
  10. Theoretically: You can spray paint shit a new color. You could use perfume to try and make it smell like roses. You could lay some clothes over it to dress it up. But in the end... It's still shit.
  11. If you're referring to Let's Not Get Carried Away, I wonder what you feel about all the Nothing's in Misunderstood. And at Tall Stacks, Jeff was roughly a week removed from his mother's death, playing his third show in four nights. The emotion was completely there. I didn't see it as contrived in any manner. I was at Purdue the night they debuted that song. Jeff's emotions were raw: he cried during the show. And the screams during that tune seemed almost therapeutic for him. I felt the same way about the Tall Stacks performance.
  12. Let's Not Get Carried Away better be on there too or I'm gonna be mad.
  13. Well I haven't listened to pop radio lately but I've been told the new Fall Out Boy single was getting some radio airplay. When I saw PFork actually gave it a decent rating I thought "wow, maybe they actually made something worth hearing..." but nope. What a joke. And the video is worse. The footage of the lead singer making his constipation faces is comical though. Reminds me of how John Mayer looks when he sings except for the fact that Mayer is talented with a guitar.
  14. Amen. And for the record, Guster's release from this past year is still sticking with me surprisingly. For having zero expectations, I ended up liking it a TON. I hope I feel the same about FoW's new one.
  15. For this album supposedly being a switch for Jay, "The Search" sounds like a cast off from Okemah. It's alright, but seems like it'll have the same effect Okemah had on me: temporarily insanely happy listening to it with no repeated listenings after that first week.
  16. I'm not really intrigued, but I'm definitely buying it. Jay's musical turns really haven't done it for me. But somehow I'm still interested.
  17. If napolean sees the sarcasm in your post, he's laughing his ass off as I am now. If not, he's creating a voodoo doll with your name and features on it right now.
  18. I have such an incredible backlog of albums I wanna buy that I haven't gotten around to buying your discs yet. I loved you guys when I saw you open for Wilco, though and both your albums are on my Christmas list for my father to get me so we'll keep our fingers crossed for that. Even if he doesn't get them for me, I'm splurging after Christmas and buying them anyways. Keep up the good work.
  19. See, and you just noticed exactly how I feel about Meloy. Whereas a bunch of people don't like his writing, singing, whatever, I feel the same way about Yorke's stuff. It still all comes down to matter of opinion in the end I suppose. And that's why I still don't understand the very personal nature of that article. It seems Ott has an axe to grind with Meloy and doesn't really go elsewhere with it. I understand it was a poor show, but yikes.
  20. My girlfriend bought me a blue copy after I already had the cream-colored one. I still have it unwrapped too. I'm not sure if it'll ever be worth anything (as the only ones now are cream-colored) but I'm keeping it unwrapped until the cream-colored copy is destroyed.
  21. I don't think I've ever found a band that angered me. I've found bands that totally put me off to their music with an album or a band that disappointed me, but never angered me. What is it about Meloy's stuff that so angers you? I think he's carved out a neat niche for himself as a unique kind of storyteller who doesn't tell your typical tale. He doesn't write sappy love songs as so many songwriters (even great ones) resort to. I can understand that his voice is off-putting to some people (much like Dylan, Coyne, Jim James, and, in my case, Neil Young). I just can't understand the Decemb
