Ruby is one of the more annoying songs of the year. I don't love Kaiser Chiefs, but the first record is still better honestly, even in it's mediocracy. and no, i was so-so on Clap Your Hands but the new album is almost unlistenable for me. Satan Said Dance is one of the most annoying choruses i heard all year, and they were terrible at Monolith.

3EB are still around? that's too bad

i really enjoy about 1/3 to 1/2 of it a lot i'd say. i should revisit it before i finalize my list i suppose.

i love Brakeman, but on the whole i found Cassadaga to feel kinda half baced unfortunately. i don't know if it'll be anywhere in my top 50 or not... thinking probably not. i tried forever to get into Conor/Bright Eyes, it was almost always his voice that i couldn't get over, so thankfully on some songs on Lifted and especially since, his voice has gotten to be actually pretty good most of the time. i just feel like this record lacked a singular focus or theme to tie it together nicely, both topically and musically. not to say it's a bad record, but after his double dose of great records he c

the last song on the album is just god awful... might be one of their worst songs actually they've only made 2 great albums in my book, but still a bit bummed as their last one was pretty killer. there's maybe 1 or 2 songs that i'm enjoying as much as the best stuff on that one. most Marah fans i know hate it, but i'm willing to give it more time and call it hit or miss for now.
