In fact, I was so completely unaware of my previous post that I didn't even think to look to see if I had posted something before. And, seriously, as I'm sure (as sure as I can be) I told you before, I did have brain surgery. And it has fucked HARD with my memory. Damn. But yeah... I guess that I loved it THAT much!!!

How about Teenage Fanclub: Catholic Education Bandwagonesque Thirteen Grand Prix Songs From Northern Britain Howdy Man-Made Shadows Admittedly, I was a bit disappointed by Shadows, but I know that a lot of you here loved it. Therefore, some of you might think that the Fannies should be in this club. No? (And, no, I do NOT include the album with Jad Fair.)

Neutral Milk Hotel. Of course, that was only 2 albums, but they were both freaking great.

For wah/effects purposes these would be lousy. However, I did use one when recording my album and it worked very nicely for its purpose.

A great late-career reinvention for Nick. He makes a great torch singer and his wit plays just perfectly into this type of music.

So is this guy: Pure simplicity. 5W, all Class A tubes. A single volume knob and that's it. Just pure tone — the sound of your guitar. Usually sells for right around $100.

None of you will be able to dispute this one, because none of you are probably familiar enough with his work to dispute me, but I assure you that every one of the albums released by TOM ZÉ has been stellar. Trust me on this one. Oh, and go find out for yourself. Once you do.... you're welcome! Also, I consider Pulp to be 2 different bands, pre- and post-His n Hers. Every single album they released from His n Hers on, is amazing. So... PULP.

Not to mention the various singles and B-sides.

Oh, and one more band that I think does qualify (or at least comes close):
