  1. Sweet! I am a merch freak, so this makes me incredibly happy.
  2. Are there usually posters for these shows?
  3. It doesn't do a lot for me. The headliners are weaksauce, and the undercard is good, but comprised mainly of bands that did the festival circuit last year. Yawn. Show me something new! That said, if it were in my backyard I'd totally go. And I hope Roo has some surprises up their sleeve.
  4. Excellent catch, Nowhere! I want a deluxe version, whatever it is.
  5. Ooh, thanks! I'll have to look into that. How's the MMJ track?
  6. Sweet, just ordered. Thanks for the heads up!
  7. Fitz and the Dizzyspells. It sounded like they're still working some things out.
  8. Digging the heck out of this one on first listen. No kidding? Wow. I caught them opening for Calexico last year and was entranced. So great.
  9. Lucky! I do not like the Double Door. Ah well.
  10. Great article- thanks for posting! And new tour dates, yay! Great Lake Swimmers "LOST CHANNELS" Release Tour Mar 06 Corner Brook @ Black Thorn Stick Caf
  11. Oooh, cool. I love Patterson's year-end best-of lists, too. So interesting to see what he's been listening to, watching, reading... And this: We will be playing some dates with Booker, including our first ever New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival appearance on Friday April 24th. I'm thinking Roo is among those dates...
  12. I've always thought "Forever Young" would be nice.

    Is it wrong

If talking to random people about Wilco is wrong, I don't wanna be right.
  14. Possibly. I'm sure there are areas on the hill where the sound is patchy, but the beautiful thing about lawn seats is that you can always move. I've been there at least once a summer since the early 90s, and been on the lawn more often than not; never really noticed much of a problem with sound. Well, some muddiness, certainly, but never volume...I remember arriving late for a Phish show once and we could hear every note from the far end of the parking lot.
  15. Nah, not at Alpine...that place is plenty loud!
  16. I also got denied for Alpine. Ah well. I kind of want lawn seats...I've never had a bad time on that lawn!
  17. Interesting interview...thanks for posting! Somehow I can't see him in Burberry. I'm not sure what to think of the record yet, but I like the metronome on "The Blue", and love the horns on "No Choice in the Matter".
  18. Excellent choices, Greg - I think those records are a good starting point. I had the same misconceptions about the band (maybe it's how they were marketed? something off-putting about it...) and never saw them until a few years ago. Glad I finally did. You may have missed out on the Isbell era (I did too) but I think in years to come we'll be glad we saw the dawning of the Neff era...mark my words Their Austin City Limits debut is airing early next month; you can see me in this clip http://www.pbs.org/klru/austin/index.php?o...&Itemid=682
  19. Agree. AA just didn't stick to my ribs, for some reason. This one does.
