  1. My first concert without my parents. Ah, Milwaukee Maritime Days.
  2. Fantastic review, and I must say this line gave me chills. Such a pleasure to watch this band do what they do so well, night after night. estewart, that sounds really interesting - thanks for posting!
  3. I may have two tickets to sell for the 4/10 show at the Civic Opera House. Main floor, right of center, row D. I'll post in the tickets section, too.
  4. Well said, mardog Thank us later, Mr. Legthigh
  5. Agree. That version of "Silver Moon" on EP3 is fantastic. Currently listening: Wilco, 10.9.07
  6. Sprecher isn't bad either, but Lakefront is definitely the most fun.
  7. Hey, you're in our row too! You can join in the birthday chorus Fixed that for ya
  8. Row K for the second night (in the presale), and row G for the 1st night (thanks to a connected friend ) Hey cool, we'll sing happy birthday to you!
  9. I would say they're more of a cult favorite than a mainstream act, but yeah, they've got a pretty big (and rabid) following here. They were one of the headliners at Lollapalooza '06.
  10. Jesse Sykes & the Sweet Hereafter - Made of Wood, from this: http://daytrotter.com/article/1569/jesse-s...sweet-hereafter
  11. I caught the show at Schubas last month. I'm just a casual Ween fan, but it was pretty amazing.

I was I get chills listening to that boot, every time.
  13. I approve of the jumping and the beard, I just wish he would get more sleep. Boy's got some dark circles.
  14. I've only ever seen the Shrines. Hope to catch the BBQ at some point.

    KOL

Back to the OP, I'm a lady and I don't think the KoL boys are particularly attractive. They were cute when they were scruffy, but those skinny jeans are made of dealbreakin' material.
  16. Nice! I missed them the last time they came through. I think it was BBQ Show that time, though.
  17. At first I was bummed when I heard about this; I'm seeing them Wednesday in Milwaukee and the thought of a Pattersonless DBT show just doesn't sit right. But after seeing those setlists...man, sounds like it could be a good time! I still hope Patterson feels better, of course...walking pneumonia, yipes.
  18. Yeah, that was painful. Meg didn't sound great, but neither did Jack. Yipes. My Guitar 1 class performed that song better than they did. I get that Jack was trying some different things with the melody, but it still felt really awkward, like he was improvising and it wasn't going well.
  19. Could not agree more. Ugh. Short set, yikes. I'm seeing him Saturday; hope the hecklers stay home.
  20. I finally did see Slumdog on Saturday night. Best Picture? Aw hell naw. Glad Sean Penn won, though. He was ridiculously good in that role.
