Well, that's a bold choice. Not bad.

Nah, not quite. But approaching it at times. Here are some cute sketches from the Mpls show: http://www.prefixmag.com/news/blitzen-trap...ltural-1/26252/

Got my tickets for LST and Schubas

Yeah. There was something Newsom-y about her vocal that turned me off, too.

I suppose that was a little dismissive. It was fine, just not my cup of tea (or coffee? ) at all.

Blitzen Trapper - EP3

Eh, I guess. I thought it was pretty typical coffeeshop-lady-singer-songwriter stuff. Her dad was nice, though. All lookin' like Neil Young in his lil hat.

I agree - do you think they'll play the Vic or Metro next? There were tickets available for the late show at the door. I caught both - great sets! Best energy I've seen from them yet. Yep, it's that "Waiting for the World to Change" lick. Despite the cheesiness of the melody, the lyrics on that song are still really strong, though...I think Pitchfork nailed it, for once.

That's a pretty apt review. I thought this line was spot on: I never think his lyrics get enough credit. He's a fantastic storyteller. This line was a bit of a "whuh?", though:

I think so. I was just listening to it yesterday, oddly enough.
