It's on the 10klf 2009 Facebook page, too. Dunno how official that is. According to 10klf.com, the lineup announcement is on January 21, so I suppose we'll know for sure then.

Jeff Tweedy solo tour winter 2009?
tangara replied to Three dollars and 63 cents's topic in Just A Fan
I already have tickets for a Badger basketball game and Gene Ween Band that night, but damned if the inclusion of Great Lake Swimmers on the Tweedy bill doesn't make me want to ditch those plans entirely. GAH. -
I'll be at both Chicago shows.

Oh my god.

Aw man. A return to Alpine! Glorious. And nearly five years to the day since I last saw them there...whooooooa.

Wendy, I got two in row D as well! I haven't seen Bird since he opened for Wilco in Milwaukee in Fall '07 (can that be right?). And I don't think $35 is terribly outrageous for this show; the Civic Opera House is a gorgeous setting, and the acoustics are fantastic. I remember seeing Bj

my morning jacket @ chicago theatre, sun dec 28
tangara replied to ms. yvon's topic in After The Show
YES. From the opening notes of At Dawn, I knew this show was going to be a stunner! Uh...there was a tarp? Seriously, no idea. I can't add much more to what ms. yvon has already so enthusiastically and eloquently described! What a great night, and what a great setlist. It's hard to rank the MMJ shows this year, since they were all so brilliant and so special in their own way, but this one was definitely top 3! -
Damn, solace, I knew you'd call me out

I dated him in 2005. I'm Emma.

Ah, that always happens...I never understand it either. Maybe the venue sets some aside for the brokers or something? I think the Bird newsletter said it would go on sale in early 2009...I'll keep an eye out and post here when the onsale is announced.

I don't believe the Civic Opera House show has gone on sale yet. Don't scare me now!

Today it's Stella Blue.

They've aged so nicely, too. Yum!

Thanks for the link, Wendy! I found a bunch of that confetti in my bed the next morning That song will always remind me of the drive from Nashville to Louisville and having the Roo bootleg on repeat So many good times with the Jacket this year! And I still think Nicole Atkins sucks. Sorry.

Any idea if more tour dates will be added? I'll go to the Allstate, but I'm really hoping for a return to Alpine...

Yes and yes. I do not care for her; she's on my Grace Potter list (aka List Of Hot Girl Musicians That Guys Keep Trying To Tell Me Are Really Talented and Awesome But I Just Don't See It So I Figure They're Just Confused By The Hotness).

Agreed. I had an absolutely fantastic time, but I think I may have been a little spoiled by the Chicago shows. I was hoping for some older tunes, rarities, and/or lots of new covers, but I think the setlist was written for maximum fun-osity, and it was perfect for New Year's Eve. (gah, I hate to give the gift horse a full dental exam... ) Nicole Atkins...pffffft. I wonder how Jim hooked up with that Mariah Carey wannabe. Now Will Johnson adding harmonies on "Golden", THAT was awesome! ms yvon, lovely running into you! I have a feeling we'll cross paths on tour again...

YES. See y'all there!

Ha! I know, right? One of my favorite record stores in the country

No kidding? That's awesome! I was wearing a green Louisville/Ear-Xtacy shirt.

2nd row center (eeeeeek)

Yeah, definitely lots of fun visuals with the live show, and their violinist is ace. But the schtick wears thin pretty quickly, IMO. I do have a weird crush on Eugene H

I actually dig the music quite a bit, but in small doses. When it comes up on shuffle I find it's a nice palate cleanser, but I've never been able to listen to Super Taranta all the way through.

Did not realize they had a new record coming out in February. I'll definitely pick it up. Looks like they'll be playing SXSW, too.
