Your Favorite Nuances/Parts of Wilco Songs
Sparky speaks replied to choo-choo-charlie's topic in Just A Fan
In Hate It Here I love the drum role right after Tweedy sings "Hate it here...when you're gone" at the 3:23 mark...I think that's f**king cool. -

Wilco — 12/3/11, Kansas City, MO (Uptown Theater)
Sparky speaks replied to bböp's topic in After The Show
Maybe it gets monotonous to play. I know it is pretty boring to listen to. To me this song just goes nowhere for an extremely long period of time. But that's just me. Play some rockers... -

I looked at it once to see what a few lyrics were. They could have made it a ten page book and you would not have missed anything. I was figuring we'd get some of those in studio photos we saw earlier in the year before the CD came out. Nope.

Are The Fall greater than The Beatles?
Sparky speaks replied to gryffe's topic in Someone Else's Song
Never heard of the Fall. But I'll bet even if I heard of them or their music they wouldn't even come close to the Beatles. Remember when the Bay City Rollers were supposed to be the next Beatles? How'd that work out? -

The protest at which UC Davis police officers used pepper spray and batons against unresisting demonstrators was an entirely nonviolent one. None of the arrests at UC Davis in the current wave of activism have been for violent offenses. Indeed, as the New York Times reported , the university’s administration has “reported no instances of violence by any protesters.” Not one. 2. The unauthorized tent encampment was dismantled before the pepper spraying began. Students had set up tents on campus on Thursday, and

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Htg-1FHBol4 The University of California Davis has launched an investigation into claims police used pepper spray on students on one of its campuses. Just an FYI: The students are actually protesting the proposed tuition increase of 81% throughout the University of California system. 9.8% of which was approved this past July and 8% before that. What is purposed is that there will a 16% increase every year for the next four, if state funding continues to be stagnant. Many are also occupying to join in solidarity the with Occupy Wall Street protests but this p

It opens up more options to match songs. Many Wilco songs sound like Beatles tunes to me and visa-verse. I tried to match up two songs at a time and then try to imagine what Beatle(solo as well) or Wilco tune would follow next to keep the string going. It actually is a lot of fun. I guess that tells you where my life is these days. After playing them a few times I'll make adjustments and move things around a bit or figure how to work a particular song I like to listen to into the mix. Great tunes to listen to while walking the treadmill for forty minutes. It's tough working Ringo songs in h
