Van Morrison. And I heartily agree with Joni Mitchell. -

Favorite Albums You Can't Listen To Anymore

My favorite part of that video is the guitar solo and the singer even seeming to wince at it. I still love the wall when I hear it although I don't regularly bust it out. There are certainly songs I skip on many classic albums. I don't care to hear D'yer Mak'er or Foxey Lady generally but there are songs on those albums I never get tired of hearing. -
He would cry like a little bitch.

He's busy writing songs that Jagger/Richards will take credit for!

No! Had to work. Pissed about it too. Looks like it was packed.

Oh, that's pretty good.

Still my favorite by them.

Oops, I missed the part about a band you don't dig too much when I picked Kashmir. Scratch that. Let's go with: Ah, Leah! by Donnie Iris.

Even at 12 years old I thought Gene doing "When you wish upon a star" was confusing, and it seemed less than cool at the time.

Wow, didn't you just have one? Or maybe time flies. Either way congrats!

Just amazing live. Exceeded all expectations.

The other thing I read that was interesting was the fact that peter and Ace sold the rights to their cat and spaceman personas allowing the current line up to use them. Apparently Ace gets his back soon. Peter seemed confused how he sold his and is not getting it back soon.

Just read the kiss article in the latest Rolling Stone. The most interesting part to me was where Gene is at home, Paul shows up unexpectedly, and Gen seems almost desperate to get him to stay and hang out. Almost seemed like Paul was the big brother that he was trying to impress. Not the relationship I expected but that is how it came across.

This one sticks out in my mind. Hunter Thompson and Letterman in a hotel room. My second year of college, living in a cockroach infested apartment, looked forward to Letterman every night and i so distinctly remember watching this:

#2 is basically how I listen to music currently. But damn, never hearing The Beatles or Bee Thousand or Pleased to meet me, or... Brutal. But I have to go with #2. Can't imagine not getting to hear what Jason Isbell will be doing in the next 10 years.

Really enjoying this one. Mercer certainly has a way with melody:
