  1. The Full Monty at Boulder Dinner Theatre
  2. I can't believe I didn't think of that one, good call! Highly recommended.
  3. Kiss - yes The Replacements - Yes Deep Purple - Yes The Meters - Yes Yes - Yes There, that's who should get in this year.
  4. I wish he would have started the commercial with the ITMWLY pose.
  5. Uh oh. I just started it. I remember the reviews being a bit tepid as well.
  6. That was great. I actually tape Fallon every night because he has by far the best music on his show than any other of the late night talk fests.
  7. Animals is easily my fave Floyd and in my top 5 albums of all time.
  8. Yesh, I loved that book and don't remember it dragging ever.
  9. Shame on you. Oh, and "Enders game" or something by Terry Pratchett. Yeah, you can't focus on Faulkner with Breaking Bad hanging over your head!
  10. I remember when I moved back to Colorado from California and would ask about Tri-tip, people had no idea. Not so much anymore, starting to become more popular out here although still a very California thing. Damn Hixter, that Chili looks amazing.
  11. I struggled with that book a bit at first and was starting to get frustrated but then figured it out and it is really amazing. The chronological shifts threw me off completely at first but once you dial in the characters and which Jason you are reading about it's not hard at all. Took me awhile to realize there are 2 Jason's. Love the hell out of this book. You just have to get in a certain mindset with the stream of consciousness stuff and just absorb it and not try to study it like a textbook. Not at all like Pynchon's "Gravity's rainbow" which made me feel completely stupid and inept.
  12. So I have been listening to the GD station on Sirius now every time I am in my car. It's all been 1977 for some reason. Have not figured out their modus yet. So far I really like it. Heard an amazing Terrapin today. Have to admit the female singing is not doing much for me although sometimes it's not bad depending on the song. A little too yoko ono or something at times. Can I assume that is the infamous Donna I have been hearing so much about? 1972 is still my go to but love being exposed to all the different years.
  13. That's actually a great magazine. Recipes I have tried have all been really good. My nerdy side loves how they explain what the hell is going on at a molecular level to make stuff cook the way it does.
  14. Saw them open for Delta Spirit last year and was impressed as hell. Thought they would be more folky and acoustic but they flat out rocked.
  15. Just got a new car so it came with Sirius for 2 months free. I am pretty much stuck on the Grateful dead station right now. They seem to be featuring 1977 every time I'm in my car.
  16. Or you can wait until November and buy the whole series in a nice barrel:
  17. There is a great article about him in the current issue of MOJO. Until I read the article, I had no idea he plays the executioner Ilyn Payne in Game of Thrones. Seems so obvious now as he is a pretty unique looking individual. Expecting his death announcement any day now as he was diagnosed with just months to live awhile back. Whether he had any influence on Tweedy I have no idea. I first learned about him from reading an Andy Gill article.
  18. Loved that and it's been running through my head all day. "Guess I got, what I deserved!"... Perfect. Never thought things would tie up so cleanly, even down to Jesse getting to take out Todd himself. I'm probably the only one who didn't catch the Ricin in the tea even though they made it pretty obvious. Just was not thinking about it I guess. Overall, very very satisfied with the end.
  19. can you let me know if there are any spoilers in that Dexter thread before I go in?
  20. I thought they were going to do a couple 1 hour Deadwood movies or something at one point? Guess that died like a log to the back of the head after an eye pops out.
