  1. yep. that's their best record. the first time i saw Calexico was pretty early on, and they invited Pinetop 7 to get on stage for the last song, a brilliant runthrough of this. i've never seen them play it again. sad face. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-dBJ7lYv44
  2. he also had a bit of an additional Neil Young streak in that he would revisit/re-record songs occasionally, or put them out via live recordings a la Time Fades Away (ie, check Trials and Errors). his career and how it ended is so heartbreaking.
  3. yes! i was waiting for the headlining boston date, esp as now i can't use the tickets i bought for dublin
  4. if Kraftwerk and Devo don't make it, The Eagles HOF status should be revoked.
  5. High On Fire and Enslaved, tonight in Dublin!
  6. i can't seem to get tickets without a presale code... help a fellow VCers?
  7. you keep calendars that are 20-30 years old? i don't.
  8. who has calendars? btw, a good piece here: https://www.currentaffairs.org/2018/09/how-we-know-kavanaugh-is-lying
  9. there is also a photo I took of Tweedy on the left top of the 2nd shelving unit, rightside.
  10. yeah there are two IKEA chairs and a footrest that I cleared out for the photos. some people were freaking out on instagram about having the records right next to the fireplace. first off,i barely use it, and secondly, when there's a fire, the edge of the shelving unit is not affected by any rise in temperature. there is way too much in the way of it to be a concern. did anyone notice the small Wilco framed show poster over the stereo, in the corner? TCP, i definitely did swerve hard into CD purchases in the 90s but there were still some artists that I continued to buy in vinyl format.
  11. are being profiled in a feature via The Vinyl Factory. kinda neat-o! https://thevinylfactory.com/features/home-grown-records-are-a-way-to-connect-with-people/
  12. i made the exact same point in my review: https://digboston.com/fotobom-foo-fighters-dinosaur-jr-speedy-ortiz-fenway-park-night-two/
  13. i will try that, thanks! yep, that was the issue. you rule.
  14. anyone else have issues logging in with chrome? it's weird... I cleared my cache and can't login via my work laptop, but my home PC is fine using chrome. I get this error on the work one: (hmmm... now I can't even cut/paste into this post using IE!)
  15. or your watch... he needs a new one.
  16. 100% agree. he had a blown voice for the boston show but still played the same amount of songs as on previous shows this tour. i guess i might be the only one who's OK w/ a set duration of 75-90 min, which is pretty ideal for most bands i'd say. my biggest pet peeve for static set lists is Blue Oyster Cult, who trot out the same 10-12 songs each time. two years ago they played Psycho with a teaser that it would be a deep cuts set list, but aside from "Tattoo Vampire" it was anything but (they'd already added "Golden Age Of Leather" a couple years back).
  17. they are my photos. unfortunately i was kept to the far side of the stage near Jonny but did what i could!
  18. photos and review of the 2nd boston show https://digboston.com/fotobom-radiohead-td-garden/
  19. i was pretty happy to hear The Tourist and Talk Show Host
  20. man i only saw one! still, seeing Sleep play three songs i've never seen them do was a fair trade.
