  1. every friday from 7-8 Eastern time, Nick and Paul from the Bevis Frond host a great radio show. full of wonderfully obscure tracks and great between-songs banter. https://www.wmbr.org/www/listen
  2. i did see one rather valid point on the facebook thread though.. that it's Wilco's first show in Mexico, but clearly not focused on the domestic Wilco market given the cost. still, i think it's a pretty cool idea and i do hope to get down there w/ some friends.
  3. haha! (sorry, i hadn't seen this post since i last saw this thread... the board should have a notification if your post gets quoted). i was gonna see TFS tonight in dublin but left a day earlier than i usually do and forgot about it. doh!
  4. new danish psych: https://papir.bandcamp.com/album/vi
  5. yeah i think it's the sins of the few spoiling it for the greater majority.
  6. sorry i just saw this but you've got the numbers swapped... Orpheum is a bit larger than HoB. i guess depending on the demographic, it's easier to sell a $60 ticket to someone if it comes with a seat, vs fighting for a GA spot.
  7. Neko has been anti-phone for the last few tours now. she should open for Tool!
  8. man i would really love to see Ghost again... probably not gonna happen though.
  9. sorry i thought they canceled for the show w/ the Hoople, and then again w/ tHS.
  10. damn that sucks for ONCE... twice ditched at the altar.
  11. nothing beats Kastelic... right at 0:19. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kn8BJwARI6A
  12. i am still waiting to hear... plenty of tickets being dumped for this one if you wanna make it. are you in teh Extra Ticket Situation fb group? if not i will add you,.
  13. saw Sarah Borges at a woefully under attended show at City Winery last night. fun show, i think people here would dig her music. kinda rockabilly/country rock with a great presentation. didn't realize Alex from Worshipper was playing guitar in her band now. the dude can rip!
  14. this record is great... total sleeper from last year
  15. huh i didn't realize he was playing here... Natick, too.
  16. more excellence coming from Australia: https://hobbiesgalore.bandcamp.com/album/everybody-split?fbclid=IwAR38hnQTCtTkm9oFFiOm8qM-WwmQOPrjkOZcS8TP_7ZSeYH9kDxcraJZReE
  17. i work in biopharma, which is the reason i am over in ireland a lot these days (working on a new project facility design/build/qualify).
  18. well i actually didn't spend too much time there... drove out sat from dublin and got into town around 1:30... checked in to my hotel and grabbed a falafel from a street vendor for lunch and then drove down to Aillwee Cave and then Cliffs of Moher. i didn't get back into Galway until nearly 9:30 and then had dinner at a really good place called Dela. had a beer at Salt House which was cool. there was a tapas place called Cava Bodega which looked great but was booked solid. a dubliner recommended Tartare or Anier but Tartare was fancier than i was looking for and Anier closed at 10. i left G
  19. bummed i am overseas and missing the Boston date, though the Milwaukee review was pretty savage. looks like a great set list (Childhood's End!) but curious as to why they didn't add Eugene??? seems like a big hole.
