If by GOAT you mean "The Shit", then yeah I'd have to agree with you. (The GOAT?? ) A Trek geek from way back. "Let your geekdom shine". Not terribly excited about this...yet. Although Simon Pegg as Scotty seems an amusing notion...as does the inclusion of the character of Captain Pike. Captain Christopher "Fu**ing" Pike, man. *Beeeeep* *Beeeeep*

Question for performing Lead guitarists
jimmyjimmy replied to lamradio's topic in Solid State Technology
It's weird but I never could get used to a volume pedal. Just always found it easier to dial in using my pinky finger/volume knob. And I'm always riding that damn control knob BTW. But sure, that would probably work you. You just have to decide where you want it in series with the rest of your effects...before or after ( I feel it's more flexible before the effects chain .....others like the simpler approach of cutting the vol. at the end but I think you loose some dynamics that way. -
Catching up with these posts this AM I thought It'd be fun/interesting to revisit the old RSGF thread. Rock star girl friends and etc. By the way JLH's full and curvy hips are awfully sexy actually.

Casinos are fully hollow; (your aware...right?). You'll get much better results with a semi hollow bodied (Solid core with hollow wings) like Epi's version of a Gibby ES-335. I think they call it a "Dot" but I'm not real sure. Someone here on this board has a faded series ES-335 that I seem to recall being fairly inexpensive. Again, I'm unsure of the cost retail or on the secondary market. I've played two. One was really fine, the other needed a fret dressing straight from the factory. Played one of these while sitting in a shop just before X-mas: A really nice reasonably priced electric. I

As a total "fanboy" I can attest to having indulged in the perception of Adams as a total twat via various media and seeing him in live settings. But, long story short, none of that matters in the least. The man has proven to be a train wreck at times, that's true, but then you come across something endearing in the vast output of material that pours out him (like"Hey Mrs. Lovely" from the Destroyer sessions that eventually becomes "These Girls" on Easy Tiger or the various versions of the beautiful "Dear John") how can you really care about his weaker personal moments? The truly bad thing a

I can't believe I've seen this band three or four times now w/Shonna and have never heard her sing before this. Talk about an ace in the hole...

Big enough for me to make a pilgrimage for the second consecutive year to "the City" to see a band in the month of June. Yup. Besides, the setting will kinda look like the cover of "At Dawn". How can you say no to that?

Yeah, they are and very versatile sonically. Don't feel bad about the 58...back in the eighties I had a chance to buy a 64 Casino for $600 bucks and thought at the time it was overpriced. *Salt in the wound* A buddy bought it...still has it and I tend to migrate towards it whenever he has it out. It's the best sounding casino I've ever held. You learn... RE: Post above. jhh4321, A cheap Korean made Gretsch Electromatic is actually a good pick if you can afford to replace the stock pickups a little ways down the road. Course, it's not like your old SG Epi, and it wont sustain like

I've liked these for a few years now. P-90s are strong although I like the look of the dog ears more. Watch a Gibson unbound neck tho.....they can be rough around the edges ( A good shop will take care of this before purchase). $770. They're worth it tho. Froogle search: Les Paul Double Cutaway By the way, this basic design has had more model names over the years than you can shake a stick at. I still think of them as Les Paul Juniors....

Conan O Brien is struggling like a mofo
jimmyjimmy replied to IRememberDBoon's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
My feelings exactly. I prefer O'Brien over both Leno ( who I never watch) and Letterman. I agree some of Dave's stuff is woefully outdated, but still generally enjoy his show. And I'm kinda digging seeing Conan winging it out there since the return to air. It's true the show is suffering, and I'm fast forwarding past the "lazer show" bits. Still, the guy is hanging in there. -
Nor anywhere else for that matter. And that's actually a good thing. Glad to see him garnering the attention and success he richly deserves. The guy is phenomenal.

It was fantastic. My first Brown read. The man has/had a singular unique voice.
