Indie? Anyways...I'm just going to mention Amnesiac here because hardly anyone else will and it's what I always do when a Radiohead thread pops up.

And...? So what. Here's to hoping for a speedy recovery for you man. Your like an institution round these parts: Yours was one of the first posts I think I read here back in the day. Vibes and well wishes.

There's too many variables involved for me to give you any kind of comprehensive answer to your question. Not the least of which is I have no idea what either one of the artists you mentioned used as far as gear; ( Except for Duane was traditionally seen with Les Pauls and Robbie w/ Fenders ). However, you mentioned a Fuzz Face. Do this: Look to various other manufactures of Fuzz devices like, Fulltone, Zvex and Electro Harmonix. All have audio samples at their websites and most have Youtube demos. Don't do this: Buy a Dunlop produced classic Fuzz Face. They're junk unless you want to shel

To each his own. Frankly on a day to day basis I rarely have time to use anything other than an electric. I gave up on disposable cartridge type razors years ago. They're expensive and frustrating. I use Braun electrics, usually in the shower. The first one cost about $80 bucks and lasted a good twelve years. The new one is fancier, has a articulating type head design and does a good job providing a fairly close shave against my generally mange-y beard: Also keeps the soul-patch, goatee, and sideburns in check with pop up trimmer on the back of the unit. BTW: I generally only get a haircut

Tks for that. I'll prolly break down at the last minute and go regardless...and hope they do "the First Song".

I'm trying to decide if going to catch them here next week in a 500 capacity club. Are they great live? I know the set will be heavy on the new record and that's an issue for me as well.

Yeah. We were listening to that pretty closely last night just after picking up the disk up. The GF mentioned, and I agree, It's probably Neal's subtle playing style that really makes it stand out.

Meh.... NP: Much better...

Whoa. That's an excellent idea. I've got boxes of late eighties and early nineties Marvel stuff I need to get rid of. Some of them worth a little dough; ( I hate selling stuff ). I'll pull out a few boxes to set out by the door and offer them up to the parents as they swing by with the kids. Thanks for mentioning that.

Overall it's pretty good. "Follow the lights" isn't doing it for me. Slow tempo a bit quiet and hushed. Everything else is really solid. Especially, for me anyway, "Dear John" and "Blue Hotel".

Right on.

You can expect a hell of a good time. Those guys are fantastic live.

Yes, that was absolutely them...(checking out the audio on ther website now) http://www.theheartlessbastards.com/main.html. That's a shame... They had a good set. I like her voice and the drummer was pretty damn good.

Saw a review in the most recent Guitar Player mag. for a semi-hollow body, ES-335/ Guild Starfire type model from Hagsrtom Guitars called the "Viking". Specs are here Good looking guitar and only about $500 bucks. I gotta check these out myself.

It should be mentioned that the Heartless Bastards put on a really fine opening set. Definitely will be checking more of their material out in the future. This was a really good show. But I've seen and heard them tighter. They never did quite get Nels high enough in the mix all night. John's playing was on fire pretty much all evening though.

Yup. Caught him on letterman the other night, liked what I heard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gxrd6TVnnXE

Sondre Lerche via... Can anyone recommend more Sondre for me? I'm kinda digging this stuff?

http://www.teabazaar.com/index.html About two blocks away from the Pavillion. Pipe on premises. Although I've honestly never seen it used.

He did say he liked Rattle and Hum. He's "OK".
