There's a few variations on that between the years. Some have a trapeze style tailpiece and a little placard that reads "Custom" or Barney Kessel. Neat, neat instrument. Edit: Willes has one@ $3500

As one of VC's most fervent Radiohead fanatics; (probably) I've gone on record many times stating that Amnesiac has been and still is is my favorite record of theirs.

I've gone back over the past few days and dug up some of the older incarnations of Arpeggi, Reckoner, Videotape and Nude just to review/compare; (always kinda a fun thing to do). The versions from last years tour of Videotape are more drawn out with sections of Jonny wailing away on guitar. That's probably still fine for a concert setting but it wouldn't have fit well within the context of this record. I'm digging this new version more myself. And BTW, if I had to pick the weakest track it'd be Faust Arp. Certainly not House of Cards.

As do I. One of my fav. VM records. Other lesser praised records that are really tight: The Healing Game and Irish Heartbeat w/the Chieftains

Perhaps now would be a good time to order a tee shirt or two from Ted. or a copy of H.O.O to give to a friend? Ted is one cool dude. Vibes for him and the missus.

Can anyone beatLes Paul at musical inventing?
jimmyjimmy replied to OOO's topic in Someone Else's Song
Les Paul has had a profound influence on my life through his music and the guitars he designed. Now Les didn't invent the electric guitar, and right off the top of my head I can't really recall who'd get that credit. It's arguable that he didn't even really invent the solid body "Spanish" electric. There was a great deal of development going on amongst a small number of people simultaneously; ( Clayton Orr "Doc" Kaufman and Leo Fender, George Van Eps, Paul Bigsby via an idea by Merle Travis and another earlier collaborative effort by Adolph Rickenbacher and George Beauchamp ). All that s -

(going around the room now...) Hi Todd. My name is Jimmy. I too am a music addict. It's been 7.5 minutes since I last played the new Radiohead album. It is my hope with continued support of family and friends I'll be able to listen to something less melancholy within the next few days. Welcome to VC. There's coffee and danish located on the table in the back of the hall.

Well, that rocks. Now my GFs copy will have a cover art this afternoon. Things to say: Been listening to this all day long, here's what I got. Yorke's in fine form on this record. Really beautiful vox throughout. Arpeggi/W.F is terrific. It's different from what they were doing live recently but I still really dig it and think this is the best version I've heard yet. House of Cards: I keep going back to it over and over again. Best/fav. track off I.R. Jigsaw is right behind it. Nude(Big Ideas) and Reckoner: Reckoner, like Nude, has been around awhile and I think it's benefited most from

There's no reasoning behind this. Except for it being awesome and, to use the word one more time in this thread, creepy.

Sparse and light. Not as "sweet" or "chimey" as the earlier versions. Bit quicker tempo. Not quite as moribund either. Did that help at all, cause I'm not quite sure I actually said anything?

It's a solid song and a good rendition here but there's been various arrangements out there for years. It'll take awhile for me to kinda embrace this new version. On another note: Wheee! I can't wait for the vinyl.

Radius is basically the shape of the fret board and "depending" on the style of the radius the nut and the bridge will reflect this shame shape. This may be the issue your having w/this neck. A good explination on all things fretboard Neck profilfe is basically the contoured shape of the back of the neck. Styles vary but popular/ubiquitous examples would be those that mimic the shapes of the letters "D"; ( Flat on approac to the fingerboard) "C"; (Slightly turns in towards the fingerboard) and "V"; ( High center, shaved sides ). This is all right on the money. He/she is pointing you in
