Hilarious! Thanks for posting.

Lion was my favorite movie from last year, a year with a lot of good movies. The pickings have been slim so far this year. I enjoyed Kedi very much (a documentary about street cats in Istanbul), I was dispppointed in The Dinner, which despite a very strong cast (Richard Gere, Laura Linney, Steve Coogan) never seemed to go anywhere and had an ending I didn't understand. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 was entertaining, but I can't really rave about it.

Terrible news. I was not a huge fan, but liked some of his solo stuff, and 52 is way, way too young. RIP Chris.

Nice! I almost missed this because I don't usually scroll back. Hopefully you did not have the blinding sun issues...judging from your video, you were sitting in a perfect place to be blinded. *laughs* How'd you enjoy the show?

Yeah, I'm sure I'll be getting it soon. He's been posting pix of the work in progress recently, so I'm sure it won't be long now. I didn't have the heart to ask him exactly when, because it was clear even during the show that he feels badly about having taken so long. But that's okay, I don't mind - I'd rather have an album he's happy with than one he just rushed out to meet some self-imposed deadline. I know his mom passed away since that Kickstarter campaign, and that can throw a major monkeywrench into anyone's life.

Matthew was great! I was at the second table from the front, so excellent spot. He played 3 new songs, the best of which seems to be one called Trick, although it's really impossible to judge after only hearing these songs once. He asked if anyone there was a Kickstarter backer of his, so since I am, I went and introduced myself to him after the show to find out more about the cat sculpture I've been waiting three long years for now. *laughs*. What a nice guy. Btw, bring your sunglasses tonight Craig. You will be blinded in that place until the sun goes down. Even many of the staff

Thanks, good to know. I doubt I'll get the front table because I don't want to spend a ton of time there before the show, what with their overpriced wine and food. We'll see.

*laughs* I was wondering if I might see you at this, but of course you're going tomorrow. I've never been to City Vineyard, have you?

This band has been creeping into my consciousness over the past few weeks via satellite radio. I would hear something intriguing that made me look at the radio to see who it was, and I would see the name Chicano Batman. And I would laugh out loud that there was a band named Chicano Batman. And it kept happening, until I realized this was a band with a couple of songs that were really worth hearing. I thought to myself: Santana mixed with Sly and the Family Stone. Who would be making this music in 2017 and why do I think it's so good? I read some reviews: Santana mixed with Curtis Mayf

Music, movies, Yankees baseball/Jets football, cooking/food (love to try international things as well), flower photography (mostly of someone else's flowers as I do not have the world's greenest thumb - although I try!), cats and cat shows...

I've reached the end of the line point myself. You don't know how sad that makes me. I was a huge concert goer for over 30 years. But the prices are insane now. I started wincing when I had to decide if I wanted to spend $50 for a ticket, and that price is on the low end these days. I just can't afford it any more. It will have to be something truly special for me to fork out big bucks for a concert these days. NO ONE was a bigger music fan than I was over 30+ years. The live music industry has lost me.

Having seen all of them, which one would you pick?

*laughs* I had a similar idea. Turned it off at the end of the third quarter thinking it was over and went up to bed. (I get up stupidly early for work.). But thankfully I have a small TV in my bedroom that I turned on. I am not a Patriots fan, but I have to admit that was one incredible comeback. I am starting to think Tom Brady is not human.

The first thought that springs to mind is Nazi Germany. The second thought that springs to mind is Japanese internment camps.

I want to apologize to George Bush I and George Bush II for not paying attention to a single word either of them said during the twelve years total they were in office. Surely anything either of them ever uttered was more worthwhile than this. I am done with Donald Trump and extremely close to just not paying attention at all any more. Wake me for the next election.

I've seen six of the Best Picture nominees, which is a record for me. I like all the ones I've seen, except for Arrival, which I didn't like at all. My vote goes to Lion. (The ones I have not seen are Hacksaw Ridge, Manchester By the Sea, and Moonlight.)

I feel the same way. Unfortunately, that's probably what they're counting on.

So, what awful decision did he make today that this 5 million illegal votes thing is supposed to distract us from? I am not going to be able to take four years of this.
-
The fact that he is harping on and on about the crowd size just reinforces in my mind that the one main thought in his head at all times is "Mine has to be bigger!". This makes it very hard for me to take him seriously about anything. You'd think being elected President would have sublimated some of that. Ugh.
-
I totally agree that he is acting like a baby. He has a narrow window of opportunity to connect with people who did not vote for him. He is not off to a good start.
-
Shook you in a good or bad way? I can't decide if I should see it or not. The trailer, and reviews I've read, make the movie seem terribly disturbing. I'm not sure I'd be able to endure it. Although I felt the same way about 12 Years a Slave, and when I finally saw that after years of avoiding it, I was able to make it through without much difficulty.

I would say "Donald, I so much want to believe that deep down inside you are a decent human being. Please don't let your country down."

What are your Plans for Inauguration Day?

I'll be at work, so will miss the whole thing. I may watch the news when I get home. With my eyes half closed. This whole thing still has a somewhat surreal feeling for me, like it's too bizarre to really be happening. -
Cory Booker has rubbed me the wrong way since he was mayor of Newark. I voted against him in the primary for the special election that made him senator. There were more deserving candidates. Something about Cory Booker has never rung true for me.
