  1. Interesting! My account says I have vouchers for 17 free pairs of tickets plus a lot of those $2.25 discounts. I'll be curious to see if we are ever able to use these vouchers. If you read the fine print, it says that for any show they decide will accept these vouchers, there will be a limited number of tickets per show.
  2. You too? Wow, I thought I was the only one on the planet! It's a really hard food to avoid, isn't it?
  3. Interesting that I just saw an ad for this show on the local ABC-TV station all the way across the country in NYC! I can't remember ever seeing a TV ad for a concert farther away than Atlantic City or the Poconos. Just seemed a little weird to me.
  4. It's crazy how much money we spend on this stuff, isn't it?
  5. The same thing happened to me. I ended up buying the 128 GB iPod touch, but I'm not totally happy with it. It is not as easy or intuitive to use as the old iPod classic, and annoys me in many ways. For example, I can never remember how to get it out of shuffle mode, and I have to figure it out every single time and it is not obvious. I guess I justify the purchase to myself by reminding myself that it has a very good camera, which I do not have on my oldish, cheapish Android phone. It is nice that I can still easily sync it with iTunes on my Mac. Not much of a suggestion, I know.
  6. Wow. What the heck is going on this year?! How many music legends have died in the past 4 months???
  7. No Cetera for Chicago. He seems to have had a giant hissy fit a couple of months ago and no compromise could be made. Too bad, because I loved all the Chicago records when he and Terry Kath were in the band, saw them numerous times in the mid70's, and loved it. That era of Chicago was my first favorite band, and I anxiously checked the news to see if Cetera showed up at the Hall of Fame induction, but no such luck. Oh well, Peter Cetera stopped being the musician I liked in Chicago a long time ago.
  8. I didn't see it. What did he say? I have been pinning my last hope on Kasich. Mind you, I usually vote democrat, but as much as I love Bernie, I don't see him making it past Hillary, and I just don't trust Hillary.
  9. Kind of an interesting show, although it seemed somewhat hastily thrown together with the dance troupe. The music in part one made my head explode. I thought the second half was a little less interesting. Mind you, the last and only other time I saw Los Lobos was over 20 years ago. I sure do love the sound of that guitarron!
  10. In Morristown? I'll be there!
  11. I second that! I completely expected Trump to comment on Rubio's "hands" comment at some point, but I guess I thought (hoped) it would happen at some rally, not at a presidential debate. Awful. I was shrieking at my TV when it happened. And as for Rubio, I think he's destroyed his career. He just comes off as childish to me now. Kasich is the only sane one of the bunch. Or does he just appear sane because the others are so nuts?
  12. Wow, this is great! But I have to admit that I had to go find a video of it on youtube to convince myself it was actually Wilco playing this song! *laughs*. I couldn't recognize Jeff's voice at all! But yup, it's them! Terrific.
  13. I agree. I thought it was a mess and didn't enjoy it as much as past Super Bowl half time shows. My friends and I also thought the commercials weren't up to par for Super Bowl commercials, either. The game was great though! I was happy to see Cam Newton shut down, and happy that Peyton gets another Super Bowl ring!
  14. Having a few friends over, made a big pot of chili. Rooting for the Broncos. (though my team is really the Jets!)
  15. And I was happy to hear that it is yet another basement recording. . I've only listened to it a couple of times so far, but I'm really enjoying it. Too soon to say if it's on a par with 49:00 yet though...that one completely knocked me out and I think it's one of the best things he's ever done.
  16. Heartbreaking. The Eagles were a big favorite of mine back in the day, and I still love hearing those songs. He does seem to have been pretty unlucky with illnesses you don't often associate with fatality. RIP
  17. Okay. Not even one word uttered by Luke Skywalker???? Really????
  18. Loved it. I, too, teared up a couple of times. Disappointed in one plot point that I won't spoil for anyone, but overall I loved it.
  19. Very late with this one as well.... Joseph Arthur, Dec. 11 in Lakewood NJ. This was a tiny, intimate show (50 people or so?) for patrons of a local public radio station. Very cool. He said he was leaving the next day to play a festival in India.
  20. I totally agree with Oasis circa Definitely Maybe/What's The Story Morning Glory. Some of those b-sides are better than some of the album tracks! Calexico has a lot of very good non-album stuff, particularly covers they have done for tribute albums.
  21. I really enjoyed this. I have never been to Solid Sound, but this film seemed to give a good feeling of the overall vibe, and it seemed like a great experience. No, it was not heavy on Wilco performances, but for sure the members of Wilco were the beating heart of this film. I cracked up at the scene where that guy was driving Jeff around and they were looking for anyone who knew who he was. *laughs* I loved the part about Glenn's buried drums and loved seeing all the kids bang on them. I loved the bird lady and her birds! I admit I did not see this film sooner because I was annoyed tha
